Cute expansion item with the Mario sets. With 180 pieces, it didn't take a lot of time to put together

My son was really looking forward to opening it after seeing the video in the application. We have almost every Super Mario set and according to my son (3 years old) and me, we think it is the best set in the collection. It's a well deserved 5 star! As soon as we get on the platform (it has a barcode), the music starts. We move it from left to right and then backwards, allowing the hammer to hit a block of the Pokey each time. In terms of building the set, I had a little help to make the Pokey and the hammer because, in my opinion, they were the two most interesting elements for my son. The smooth vertical corridor is what allows the Pokey to stay in place and go down with every blow it receives. This is a great idea! I know that designers use different techniques for each set, but I'd like them to redo it! The build time was 45 minutes.

We loved how it interacts with you and my children found it absolutely hilarious that Mario falls asleep and snores when you lie him down. They were super excited to watch the app loading. They loved being able to read how to fix each piece on. And turn the pages themselves in the instruction booklet. They loved how you could see the expansion kit add to your app and then how to build. My children have played with this set for hours upon hours. They are amazed at all the noises and collecting of coins whilst they made their way round the courses. All in all an excellent Lego set and we will be purchasing more expansion sets for Christmas. My only slight criticism is that some aspects of the building process were not in the booklets you just had to look and try and make it the same fine for my 8 year old but my 6 year old found that a bit tricky.

They love the fact its a game as well as something to build and obviously because you have e to use your phone to interact with building instructions as well as keeping score of your achievements they found amazing too. Although Lego is expensive, it does last forever and with this it gives you different courses to build with what Lego you have. Great for a gift.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 10 year old son really enjoyed building and playing with this set. He thinks it is a great addition to the main starter set. The interactive Lego Mario is a great idea, and the sound effects are very funny, although he thinks that the Mario figure turned off looks a bit scary!

I got this set for my 6 year old son. This is one of his favourite expansions set. It was easy to build and its fun to play with as you can place Mario into a position (which I find quite secure) and keep moving left to right to smash all the yellow blocks until you get the one with the code to scan. Smashing the whole things seems like a lot of fun for my boy and I had my turn few times as well.

my grandson absolutely loved it and immediately wanted to start putting it together.

I gave a fire star rating on the delivery I ordered this last night and got it this morning as far as the quality of the merchandise I cannot give that at this point it's a Christmas present

most lego sets come with paper instructions. this set did not, only thing was something saying the instructions were on a free app. well my problem is at the age kids start playing with these they do not have a phone to use, or any electronic device to use. so that being said what are those kids supposed to do when they are use to paper instructions and or don't have a electronic device?? I find this very unfair to those kids so no I would not recommend buying this lego set.
