LEGO Technic App-Controlled Cat® D11 Bulldozer 42131

I have spent a few days slowing building this model. It has been great fun and interesting to build giving an insight into how it is really built. I followed the instructions but I was a bit concerned about how it would work when used with the app. Once connected with Bluetooth and the Technics App I needed to make 2 adjustments but the app took me through the set up and within 10 minutes my D11 was fully operational. I am very impressed especially because this was my first Technics model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to get this one for my collection; it's a Lego technics and definitely the best one in my opinion. It was a a little challenging but wouldn't have been enjoyable if it wasn't; it took me around 2 - 3 weeks to build at nights and it was such a great experience. Once it was built, it was a great accomplishment to be able to drive the bulldozer which I can control from the app on my phone; it's like seeing your invention come to life. Some other great features are that the tracks are adjustable, the build itself and even the bulldozer are very detailed (you can tell Lego have really invested in this one), and even the ripper and ladder blade can be controlled from my phone. The end product speaks for itself, it's simply amazing, even as a display piece! Also the app controlled feature worked perfectly with my iPhone. I would highly recommend to all Lego users.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am one of the biggest fans of Lego you can find, however, I have never really got into Lego Technic favouring the original Lego instead. I was convinced to give this a try and I'm so pleased I did. I built it with my 13 year old son and throughly enjoyed every minute of it. Once built it is then controlled by a faultless app on your phone. We have iPhones and it works perfectly. I will definitely be trying some more Lego technic. Well done Lego, another top quality, flawless product!!

I am 75 years old and haven't build any Lego since my children were kids, 50 years ago. My wife bought me the Bugatti Chiron for our last wedding anniversary and I became hooked. I bought the CAT bulldozer a month ago and I thought the Bugatti was difficult but the CAT is on a whole different level. The detail is amazing and the remote control app is superb. It needs a great deal of concentration during the build because the detailed instructions have to be followed precisely, one small piece fitted incorrectly will effect the working of the final model but the sense of achievement when I switched the model on and everything worked successfully was tremendous. One word of advice, don't rush your build, take your time and enjoy putting every piece together.

Absolutely the best set we have ever built. It took me and my 18 year old Grandson a couple of weeks to build this, it is not for the faint of heart. The detail and precision are superb. My grandson is training to be a heavy duty mechanic, so this was right up his ally! He now wants to take it to his class to show them the module nature of a CAT build. Well done LEGO, your best yet!

The model is ultra-realistic with amazing authentic details and features which you can explore as you progress with the build and visibly see thanks to the large size. The app controls work flawlessly and really bring this heavy-duty machine to life! This is a great set to buy for yourself or as a gift. It will give long hours of challenging and focussed building experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my very first Lego Technic set and wow this really is a stunning and absolutely gorgeous model, along with an interesting build design. Surprised how big this machine is and the functions all work pretty decent. Took me and my partner over a week to build, couldn't do it when kids were around so had plenty of breaks.. we enjoyed building this set together it was fun and sometimes challenging but what an experience.! We loved building it together. Good job Lego.! Once built just download the free app to control the bulldozer very simple to use. My friend has the Liebherr model and in comparison Liebherr has 7 motors and 2 hubs, while this only has 4 motors and 1 hub. I think Liebherr has more functions to play around with.. but they both look beautiful and stunning at the end of the day. Overall this bulldozer is a pretty cool set but definitely over priced in my opinion. Highly recommend for the construction vehicle lovers.!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well I was over the moon when I opened this up and it brought back the feeling of being a child playing with my Lego, this doesn't let you down on the high standards of the Lego brand , its very easy to follow especially if your an avid Lego user, there are full instructions to help you construct the Bulldozer and can be controlled by your smart mobile, the tracks are fully adjustable which for me was really exciting and you can also control the ladder blade and ripper via your mobile control+ app. All the parts come numbered in clear bags and you get a full instruction guide to help you construct your bulldozer, this is very big and stands out and well worth the investment. It is very challenging at times but I enjoy this and it is a good project to set aside when you have time. I love seeing the motorised parts that move and bring your Lego to life, I would recommend this for all adults that are looking for to bring back childhood memories or just feel young at heart.

This was excellent fun to build; the instructions were spot on. I liked the way that part-through you could test the drive system and fix any problems before building anymore, an excellent feature. My only fault was with the app, which continues to demand an update every time it's opened.

Build was enjoyable, technical components worked 1st time. Playability spoiled a bit by the new softer plastic on the tracks, going over the slight threshold step (20mm rise. 70mm across top, 20mm fall), there is a tendency for the tracks to come apart (I tried reversing the direction of the tracks, same issue)
