Lego products almost always deliver on quality and fun and this one was no exception. I loved the build and being a technic car build it delivered a very good balance of fun with some “expert” build techniques and in the end it makes a really nice show piece next to my big Charger from F%26F and the new Ford GT I got as well. Overall the only complaint I ever have with Lego is the price. Just too much for cost per piece when you compare to other brands like Nifeliz, Mould King, Cada, etc and honestly when they are making ones just as nice with printed bricks instead of stickers that eventually peel off it makes my long term decision to move to those brands a lot easier. I will most likely only purchase Lego on Brinklink (resale) if I have to have the sets and then look at the other brands from now cause I love to build… I don't love to lose money and the “points” mean nothing when you are constantly robbed of them and their GWP are all taken by the scalpers and collectors so your actual online and Lego store purchases are worth nothing. Still great build I would recommend if you are an enthusiast, but there are some Cada versions that are just as good for less
So 4th of 4 builds in this size bought a few weeks ago. I'm not a long-term builder nor am i a passionate fan of F&F, so I'm judging the car purely on my enjoyment of the build etc. Put simply, I really enjoyed it with one exception (which I'll come to). Instructions clear and nothing odd about the general build, everything fit well together and it's a solid model. It looks great, the spoiler and front headlights stand out from the others I've built recently. But there is one thing I really hate - over 40 stickers!!! If i could hav e worked out which ones to leave off I would have but i'm not quite that passionate. I put several on incorrectly (2 & 4 are wrong way round, at least one back-to-front) and the ones that need applying to the bench style lego pieces (and there's about 6-8 of these) are nigh on impossible to get straight. Other than the stickers it's a great model and the most enjoyable of the ones I purchased
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great quality product. It did take me 3 attempts at completing step 1, however that's just user error. Packaging is bright and bold, parts are well made and my daughter loves helping out the small pieces together.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For fans of both LEGO Technic and the Fast & Furious franchise, the Toyota Supra MK IV is a thrilling build that captures the iconic lines and essence of Dom Toretto's legendary ride. Having just completed the build myself, I can confidently say this set delivers on its promise of an engaging experience and a fantastic display piece. Right out of the box, the vibrant orange color immediately grabs your attention, perfectly mirroring the movie car. The "9+" age rating seems appropriate, as the Technic mechanisms offer a satisfying challenge without being overly complex. The build process is, as expected from LEGO Technic, a journey of intricate connections and clever engineering. You'll appreciate how the various components come together to form the car's distinctive shape. What truly shines are the functional elements: the opening doors, the pop-up headlights (a fantastic touch!), and the detailed engine bay that opens up, allowing you to peek at the miniature powerhouse within. The level of detail on the interior, though simplified for a Technic model, is still commendable, giving you a sense of a cockpit ready for action. Once completed, the Supra is a robust and substantial model. It feels solid in your hands, a testament to LEGO's quality. The sticker details, particularly those on the sides, add an extra layer of authenticity and really bring the Fast & Furious vibe to life. While some might prefer printed bricks, the stickers here are well-designed and enhance the overall look. Pros: * Iconic Design: Faithfully recreates the instantly recognizable Toyota Supra MK IV from Fast & Furious. * Engaging Build: Offers a satisfying and intricate building experience for Technic enthusiasts. * Fantastic Features: Opening doors, pop-up headlights, and an opening engine bay add excellent playability and display value. * Vibrant Color: The bright orange is striking and true to the movie car. * Sturdy Construction: Once built, the model feels robust and durable. Cons: * Stickers vs. Printed Bricks: While well-designed, some may prefer printed elements for long-term durability and appearance. In conclusion, the LEGO Technic Fast & Furious Toyota Supra MK IV is a must-have for fans of the franchise and LEGO Technic. It's a challenging yet rewarding build that results in a highly displayable and interactive model. Whether you're reliving your favorite movie scenes or simply admiring the engineering, this Supra is a winner. Just be prepared for it to take pride of place in your collection!
The car looks great and I'm happy with the finished product. However the engine bay is missing any kind of detail that would represent the iconic 2JZ engine, not even dual turbos. And the NOS bottles in the back are terribly done. They should be 3 times larger and include NOS stickers.
Overall this was an enjoyable build. It seems more straightforward than other Technic sets. However, there are far too many small stickers. Printed pieces please. It looks good when finished but the size is weird. It is bigger than the Speed champion sets but smaller than the other Fast and Furious Technic sets.
Set looks great. Greta build. Only issue is it is a different scale to the other fast and the furious technic cars, which is disappointing and looks odd on the shelf.
Printed panels are a completely different color to stickers got replacement panels and stickers sent even worse set now looks stupid I have a lot of technic sets and this one by far is the worst
Could not build it because there is an additional part that is required to be purchased that cost 1.59 from Lego.com but with shipping and processing fees it's over $13.00.
I've had Dom's charger since its inception, and this is no Fast and Furious build that matches it match it. Lego should have built this and the Skyline at the same scale. Considering the 200 piece count difference, the scaling is vast - see images.
