LEGO Technic John Deere 1470H Wheeled Harvester - Building Toy for Boys & Girls, Ages 7+ - Birthday Gift for Kids - W/ Realistic Suspension & Steering - 42218

Purchased this for my 6 year old stepson. He's very excited to get it built, but I will say, it's a little advanced for his age so he's needed a lot of help from us even with the instructions. My husband and I love this set and it's a really great piece once it's finished. It's just a lot of steps getting there with this particular one.

This lego set came apart easily. It's great for kids/ teens that just want to build it and place it on a shelf as part of a collection of builds. It isn't a good purchase if a child / teen plans to play with it because the pieces don't stay together that well. It is smaller than what we had expected it to come as. It is a cute build though.

The instructions obviously use pictures for assembly. The problem I had with the pictures was the INCORRECT coloring of the MANY pieces that I had to match to the booklet's instructions for assembly. Many pieces were SIMILAR in shape and length. The colors of these pieces differed; however, the booklet's images were NOT always colorized correctly. This forced me to proceed slower than normal. It's SAD that the LEGO company's techical writers were not precise in their colorization of the pieces within the booklet.

Our family loves Legos they never disappoint! This set is no different. The technic kit offers a little bit more of a challenge in small pieces and making sure everything is lined up right but with movable parts the end result is even more rewarding!

Simple yet engaging building toy for kids who like farm toys and assembling on their own. Inexpensive, thoughtful gift.

It was very well packed and easy to put together with the instructions. Came on time and grandson was excited about it !!

This set is easy to put together. It is a simple set, so there is not much for functionality. The back moves up and down, kinda hard to open the clamp to pick anything up. The hood could open to reviel a simple engine. You get what you pay for

It's a simple build, doesn't take up a lot of space. I got it for my blue collar boyfriend who loved it.

The building experience is great, but the play experience is very poor with this set. Until now we have always had five star experiences with every LEGO set, and this one isn't all bad, other than the poor play experience. It has the moving features we love in the technics sets, but it's awkward, is barely functional, and my grandson finds it so frustrating. Within a short time he was so frustrated he just wanted to dismantle it and put it back in the box. I convinced him to keep it for display. It does look great.

Would have been great if I actually would have received this item and the instacart shopper would NOT have kept it. I needed it to give as a GIFT. That weekend. Thanks
