LEGO Technic Surface Space Loader LT78 Building Set, Space Toy for Adventure, Construction, Exploration and Building, Space Gift for Imaginative Play, Birthday Gift for 8 Year Old Boys & Girls, 42178

LEGO Technic Surface Space Loader LT78 Building Set was well received and as advertised. The price was competitive.

This space series of Legos is really cool and advanced. I wish it had some kind of battery or maybe solar operated mechanism. It was a little complicated to build by my 10 yr old as it has over 400 pieces but she was very happy with the end result. I am personally not a fan of Legos for reasons every mom will relate too(cleaning and storing), but I have a mantra...when in doubt, gift Legos. This set is a perfect gift for all the kids that love space stuff.

I got this for my 6 year old daughter to build with her 14 year old brother. It's definitely a bit too advanced for my 6 year old to do on her own as suggested age is 8, but it is a perfect activity for her to do together with an older sibling. The pieces are not too small and as always, instructions are quite good/easy to follow along with the numbered bags to make parts identification easier. The completed built is a good size! My daughter actually plays with it like you would with a regular car and as long as not too rough, it adds a nice element of imagination.

With so much in the news about space travel these days, this LEGO set is fun but also a segue for discussion with my child about current news. It went together fairly fast, but the play and creativity continues all day. I love how Lego is educational and stimulates creativity.

Lego has always been one of my favorite toy and collection, especially technic series. When I was little, I had a crane powered by few separated air pumps. As time goes by, it gets fancier and fancier. It also looks prettier and prettier. The best of Technic series is that the build is actually functional. The space loader's wheels will turn and it can be raised or lowered as well. However, the old school Minecraft feeling LEGO is missing. Now many pieces are specifically for the particular build, so the final look can be more realistic. I understand and am not against it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect set for somebody who just get started with Lego technic or is looking for a quick build. As a non experienced builder it took me a couple of hours to put this together. Very nice and fun activity to share with someone. Very nice design and well put together. I enjoyed it a lot.

Bought for my nephew for our get together. Happy with the purchase. However the delivery was 1 day late, causing some last minute stress. Otherwise happy with purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was an easy build, and really playful to do. My son had a lot of fun building it and is now playing with it. The quality versus price is very good..

I've loved LEGOS forever, but this is my first LEGO Technic purchase. I thought it might have a battery component to it, but I was wrong. I do like how this is more advanced than a typical set. It's more difficult to assemble, but it was fun to put together and I like how versatile it is.

I was not able to get it. They did not have it. The lady in customer service was extremely helpful. She checked stock for me, and when I wanted to cancel the order she helped me do that too!
