LEGO Technic tbd Technic 42160 42160

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this set and it came out bigger than expected being my first larger technic set. The suspension is great with quite a lot of travel proving for a great off-road car. The only two downsides are the fact that it is so slow and i really hope Lego can fix that and second it is app controlled and all those people with no phones cant use it making it useless. Please bring back the battery boxes with the remotes as they were so great.

My son was very happy to receive this and put it together. A little pricy but he enjoyed that it was remotely controlled.

My teenage niece loves the Lego car kits and was a beyond excited to get this one!! She completed it over winter break from school and was super happy with the kit.

Arrived on time. Well packaged, no damage. Have not assembled it yet.

this was such a great build and the remote driving is AWESOME! i hope to get more like this!

Enjoyed building this set, seemed pretty easy (after building the Millenium Falcon) so don't be scared if you're of the younger age group. Looks good when built and easy to control from your phone. Only downside, the batteries don't last long what so ever, considering there's 6 of them in it, other than that, loved it.

PROS The build was very enjoyable. There were a couple of steps that were hard follow in the instructions. Use the digital instructions so you can zoom in. Fun to chase my cats around with. CONS: Kind of expensive but does come with three motors. The Control+ app is clunky. Wish there were better controls.

This set is something of a good news bad news set… The good news, it IS a great set, the suspension is beautifully fluid, possibly the most satisfying suspension I have ever built in Lego, the car looks fantastic too, lots of stickers but they really work well to bring the car to life. Now the bad news, its another app controlled set, the app is spectacularly bad, the set would be so much better if it was just equipped with hand of god steering and the CONTROL+ parts were removed.

Instructions were not helpful, ended up not being able to fit several pieces on. Too many stickers

It does not work as remote control car. The wheels are spinning fast in the air, but once I place this car on the floor, the wheels not spinning well so it won't drive. Lego asked a lot of questions when I asked for help, such as what brand and which version of the phone I am using, or the brand name of the batteries I use for this car, are they all new? and how many of the batteries (!) If it is working only with particular phone or particular brand batteries, it should be stated on the package. Huge disapointment
