big 3:2 screen + keyboard + titanium!

Harry Y Wang April 7, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] super light. I like the feel of the titanium cover, much better than my macbook m1 air. The screen is excellent, 5+, I would recommend it to everybody who may need to work a lot with editors. No comment needed for the keyboard.

Great travel laptop

shiandre July 6, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Build is solid and haven't had any issues for the past 3 weeks. I love the light weight and the 3:2 screen ratio. It's different playing movies or games (you will have black bars on the top and bottom) but nothing that is crazy. I use it for every day web browsing, some amateur programming, and designing. The pen magnet works well, but don't expect to travel with it still connected.

Perfection in a small footprint

EORUSSO March 27, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great machine, Very fast i5 with 16 gig of ram. Very pleased with 3 by 2 screen format and pen. Keyboard is very good. Windows hello is flawless. The screen format is great for working. I came from a 5 year old Surface book. Much easier to use pen when converting 2 in 1. This machine is so thin and light and much probably the best laptop to use for business travel.

lightweight powerful computer

A A A A January 2, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The computer is lightweight. I have say that I bought the same model in summer and had to return it as it was heating up a lot. I tried my luck again a couple of month ago and had to wait till my customized computer has been shipped. This one seem to be ok in terms of temperature. I have been with Lenovo computers since they were IBM and my first computer served me 10 years and is still alive. I do love having a pen as I take a lot of hand written notes. I did know that because this computer is so thin there is no place to park a pen. The pen does go missing - the magnet is not strong to keep it in place. That is something that I will have to get used to and I wished there were better solution for that. Hence 4 stars and not 5. Other then that it is elegant, fast , thin, and fast Lenovo computer. Hope if will last.

Laptop Speakers Busted - New One Sent Right Away!

Mitchell Whitley February 27, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sent this laptop and got it up and running; however, the speakers were completely busted. I spent all day trying to fix them by doing all computer updates, driver installations, etc. In the end, I had to go through the process of returning it. Lenovo did make the process quite simple, and sent a brand new laptop within days. This one has worked great and no issues present. I still plan to purchase Lenovo products. I do think Lenovo should just double check all aspects of products before sending out.

Good, but not great

Evil Oliverlord July 26, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Light weight, solid construction, 3:2 screen. So far, this is a good, but not great laptop. Strong points: -3:2 screen allows room for working with text documents (and the forthcoming W11 taskbar) - light weight for travel - solid construction - decent keyboard (but see below) - bright screen - good sound for videoconferences and occasional streaming Weak points: - the keyboard is better than rivals', but nowhere near as good as ThinkPad keyboards used to be. I'd gladly accept a slightly thicker laptop in exchange for greater key travel. - track pad. I'm not a huge fan of the haptic-only touchpad. - USB C. Why can't all of the ports be used for charging? - no pen garage. Again, I'd accept a slightly thicker laptop for this convenience

Stylish but came defect

Jantechni March 15, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The laptop looked good and stylish. The display and color is great but does not fit the screen when projecting to my TV. Did not get a chance to test more as the audio is horrible, believed it's hardware failure. I had returned the unit.

Less than pleased

Swgal13 January 19, 2022

Good product overall. However, within 3 days of having owned it, I got a pop-up telling me to restart in order to install microphone and camera updates. Once I did that, the speakers no longer worked. I had to pay money for software support to troubleshoot and update speaker drivers. I had just bought this laptop and already I was shelling out money for support! Once the speakers were fixed, the audio port no longer worked with my IPhone earbuds. The tech said I would need to test it with something else, like external speakers, to determine if the laptop has a hardware issue. I haven't done that yet. Also, I went to register the laptop online with Lenovo and their system said my serial number was invalid. After a lengthy hold waiting to speak with someone, i was told to send an email to the company, along with scanned copies of my receipt and the tag on my laptop that showed the serial number. That worked, but, again, Lenovo sells me a laptop with a serial number they don't even have in their system?! And then makes me do a bunch of extra work to prove I bought it?! One last beef. The fingerprint Touch ID pad is almost useless. It reads my thumbprint maybe one time in 5. They have a lot they could learn from Apple, which gets it every time. Other than that, I love the light weight and it's working just fine.

Not Happy

Leon6128 August 17, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great design but it has a few quirks I do not like. The fan is always on...drives me nuts, the new proximity detector is spooky, the computer wakes if I walk by...I finally had to cover the sensors (three additional that do not have a privacy shutter), and the two thunderbolts are inconvenient, so I had to buy a Dell dock since but would have preferred a ThinkPad dock but nothing is ever in stock.

Nice design, but very poor performance

Chris Glis April 19, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bad CPU's in this unit. I'd wait until a Gen 2 comes out to give this a try again. Great design, nice weight, and I love the new 3:2 aspect ratio, but whenever it comes to anything halfway-intensive, the CPU fan starts up loudly and won't stop until minutes after you stop using the laptop altogether. An i7 should be able to handle a bit more than what I threw at it. For now, this laptop was pretty lousy and I had to resort to returning the unit(s) altogether.
