Knowing this is a Chromebook and NOT a Windows or Apple platform is essential. If you're not committed to using a certain software suite, this is an ourstanding choice. It runs Google Playstore apps. Perfect for browsing the web - extremely fast loading and rendering web pages. Not the greatest display . . . but for $200 it's a great buy. 5 stars
its good for certain things, but be helpful if i receive the proper instructions for the chrome book. s330 and not the instructions for the c330. it really confuses people when they get a chrome book and see the instructions show that it can be used as a tablet. thankfully i seen that it cant be done. otherwise i wouldnt be happy about it. very misleading when u receive those kind of instructions.
I love this new Chromebook - and for the price, I can use the savings to shop for more supplies, online, at Walmart. Remember that a Chromebook is an Android user device, so if you are already using Google, the apps and flow will be familiar. This is not a Windows laptop, so don't expect to run your apps that require a Windows operating system. The charger is "C" type port, and it charges faster than my old stuff. The keyboard is a bit larger and easier to type on. I would recommend this device for students, and I would also recommend learning to anyone at every age. Do your best with what resources you have. Walmart helps me on that, but I shop other places, too. I like that I can return stuff to the local store if it doesn't work out.
This was my first Chromebook. As a longtime PC user, I had always considered Chromebooks to be underpowered. For a PC, they are, but Chrome OS doesn't need the same hardware as a PC. After reading favorable reviews and seeing it offered at such a great price, I decided to give it a try. I am not sorry I did! I'm very impressed! I still have a desktop PC for my main computer but for the things that I need a laptop for, this fits the bill perfectly! It does everything I need and doesn't do the things that I disliked about my previous laptops - boots quickly, runs cool (without a fan!) and gives me amazing battery life! I'm very pleased!
After reading the reviews in quick need of a computer, I decided to take upon this computer. I have had it about a month now and decided to leave a review. I like it, a lot actually. The sound is very high quality and as well and the graphics. I found it on sale for $210 and really believe I got my moneys worth! So to parents who are in school (like me) or if you are looking for a computer for your child, I recommend this one!
I ordered this CB for my daughter and her virtual school year. We were charged nearly 100 dollars more than the list price, unbeknownst to me. When it arrived, it was clear we had been overcharged. It was very slow, the screen was cheap and blurry. When we updated Chrome, it stopped connecting to the internet. We called the company, who was very unhelpful and finally said to just return it. We had it for a total of 4 days. We will be ordering a better model.
This Lenevo has problems... some keys don't always work correctly; I'm used to a friendlier keyboard: A ridge or raised dot on the f %26 j to keep fingers in place; up%26 don page; cps key, etc... %26 other features... one is probably ok. The screen is overly dark... almost as dark as the Acer reputation... Facial features are lost on dark scenes...
Battery broke the second week, wouldn't replace, had to purchase new one for 30 bucks. Now entire keyboard is broken/locked/glitched out. No help from customer support and an absolute waste of time and money.
DO NOT ORDER THE HELLO TECH SUPPORT for $49. They do not support CHROMEBOOK. They blame Walmart and Walmart blames them. AWFUL customer service.
There wasn’t an option to order a protection plan for this computer when I ordered it and there is something wrong with the charger port. It hasn’t been 90 days since the purchase. Is there a way to send it in to get looked at? Something to be done? I just looked at the computer online and it’s offering people protection plans now.
