Lenovo Idea Tab Pro, 12.7" 400 nits, 8GB, 128GB

It's responsive, easy to take notes, great for reading, the screen looks fantastic, and good for casual gaming. There are only two downsides for me: The first is the amount of bloatware. I understand that pre-installed apps are normal, but this feels like way too much. The second, and the most frustrating, is the app service that installs applications you did not ask for. This is not only annoying, but a potential data security issue. This can also be stopped, but Lenovo doesn't tell you how to do it. All in all, I would recommend this tablet, just be prepared to put in a little bit of work at the start.

I got a case with a keyboard and it works well in desktop mode. It's very versatile. The battery life is excellent. Very pleased with my purchase.

It feels like it cost twice that. The screen is beautiful, but it's no Retina display by a longshot. That's the only demerit I can think of, and even so, the screen is more than good enough in most cases.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i was gonna get a cheap t-mobile tablet because it had a sim card but i compared the specs and this things 4x faster with the mediateck 8300 and plus with the stylus and 8gb ram compared to 4 in the other one, plus a 3k display! it was a easy choice, make sure you get the idea tab PRO not the idea pad plus!!! there the same price so why get the plus??? go with the pro!!!! and if i want to take it out with me i can use my phones hot spot to use it, its really a GREAT tablet!!!

I listened to all the reviews for tablets in the $200 to $300 range and the Lenovo Idea Tab Pro was the best overall. I took a chance and bought it and I am glad I did. Everything works as well as advertised or better. I also got it at they're lowest price of the year which is the icing on the cake.

The responsive touch screen is plenty bright and colorful. Extra Storage slot. Terrific value for the money One half star ding for single USB-C port, no headphone jack. So 41/2 stars really.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was attracted by an impartial (?) review, the low price, and my general impression of Lenovo products. I was shocked by how big it was when it arrived. It is fast, it is bright, it has good battery life (while new). The stylus is neat and the handwriting recognition is good, it really is for drawing. I have an after market folding case and that improves my useability. The video and sound quality are VERY good which means I can pop on headphones and watch my backlist and not disturb my wife. It also means I can put this on the treadmill and keep my body inline while watching an image every bit as big as the TV (which requires uncomfortable had turning). But it is big, which means it is heavy for bed or chair reading (unless you add a pillow).

My main issue with it is that upon initial setup, it started downloading a bunch of "recommended apps" without my input. That should be something that needs to be very explicitly opted into. It was very difficult to disable.
