I love the idea of the CPU being INSIDE the monitor/screen of a desktop. With most of my previous computers (almost all being laptops) you can tell the power is lacking, the processing speeds are super slow, and a desktop tends to run better and faster in general. This was super quick an easy to set up and I am really enjoying it so far. I would've liked a wireless mouse and keyboard, but I can purchase those separately. The CPU/monitor runs so quietly, you wouldn't even know it was on. It is quick to restart, start, and wake. I like the camera popping in and out and I generally leave that covered anyways. Very cool features, would definitely recommend!
Wow! This is truly an all-in-one top-of-the-line computer! From the basic easy set up of this computer to the everyday use of it, it has all the things you would need in a desktop computer without all the bulk! The Lenovo ideacentre AIO 520 22 All in One Desktop, Intel Core i3-8100T Quad-Core Processor, 4GB DDR4 RAM, 16GB Intel Optane Memory, 1TB Hard Drive, Windows 10 is a BREEZE to set up! The only thing that threw me off was the display picture of this set shows the mouse and keyboard being wireless, but this is not so. That does not affect my opinion of the computer being amazing by any means, just that the picture is a bit misleading. Once you have the keyboard and mouse plugged in to any of the USB ports found on the backside of the computer, you can then plug the battery pack into the port marked with yellow and begin the set up and use of the computer! It is amazing and quick! The setup is very easy to follow along with and begin, as Cortana walks you through the steps to setup the new Windows 10. It also has a built-in wifi antenna, which allows you to connect to your wifi or if you need to, you can manually connect with a cord. I have never heard of the Lenovo brand, but my mom (who used to be an IT) said it is fairly common and is a good brand! Not only does it have built-in wifi antenna, it also has a built-in pop-up camera! It can either be hidden or in view by popping out of the top of the computer. The camera picture quality is not too bad, but it is not the most impressive either. That is a small detail and does not really affect my usage of it, as you could still use video chat just fine. It also has a touch screen! You can change from looking at it like a desktop or look at it in the tablet view, when you mostly use the touch screen to use the controls! The audio is amazing, impressive speed, and the picture quality is top-notch! I was playing Netflix and did notice a small buzz in the speakers, but otherwise it has an amazing sound quality! I love how you can add kids and manage what they do on it and what they can look at, as well! I highly suggest and recommend to anyone looking for a compact desktop computer but not looking to skimp on quality!
I just love the Lenovo Desktop!! The 22" screen is incredible! The picture quality is absolutely fantastic. We love watching movies on it. The 16GB RAM and 1TB Hard drive, you can store everything but the kitchen sink on it! I love the lack of a tower, it allows me to have it on the far corner of the kitchen peninsula without any intrusion of space for cooking and/or baking. It has been great for school reports and downloading music, paying bills, and just having some fun with games. I could not be happier with the Lenovo all in one Desktop, its even a perfect dorm computer! Trust me, you can't find this quality a product for the price anywhere else! I highly recommend it, as does my family!
I swear, I am addicted to Lenovo! They always offer such well made, high quality products. This all-in-one IdeaCentre desktop certainly lives up to the Lenovo name. It's beautiful, sleek, and modern-looking. It's a desktop computer, but not in the conventional sense. There is no vertical tower or horizontal workstation to worry about finding desk or floor space for. Everything you need is packed right inside the monitor, which is a touchscreen that also comes with a keyboard and mouse pad. How convenient is that? Inside is an Intel Core i3 8100T Quad-core processor with 4GB DDR4 RAM, 16GB of Intel Optane memory, and a whopping 1TB of hard drive space. There's even a DVD+RW that slides out of the side panel to play and write CDs and DVDs and five USB ports to connect pretty much anything else you need. The computer comes loaded with Windows 10 and a bunch of other cool software like Microsoft Ink and Office 365. It's bluetooth enabled, so you can listen to those CDs and DVDs with a pair of bluetooth headphones or opt for a wireless keypad, if you want. Or you can just forego the headphones altogether and make use of the built-in speakers, which are nice and loud and offer crisp, clear audio playback. I think my favorite feature is the 720p HD front-facing webcam with integrated microphone that pops up out of the top of the screen with a gentle press of a finger and then slides back in when you're done using it. It's a great way to protect the camera while also protecting privacy. The 21.5" FHD IPS backlit borderless touch display is wonderful too, offering vivid colors and a dynamic visual experience. All in all, I couldn't be happier with this computer and remain a devout Lenovo fangirl. They certainly know what consumers want. In fact, I hear Lenovo will be bringing back my absolute favorite flip-phone from the 90's soon (*ahem* RAZR!) and I can't wait! Hopefully, I'll be able to test and review that next!
I'm always skeptical of computers and what they are suppose to be able to run, but this computer so far is doing exactly what it should be at the speed it should be. I love that this is an all in one and replaced my old computer and I no longer have a tower to worry about since my youngest son likes to turn my computer on and off, well now he can't so that is a major plus for me. I also like that it was very easy to set up and transfer items off my old computer onto this computer. While I may not be a huge fan of the keyboard that is my only complaint only because of how quiet this one is and I'm someone who types fast and the keyboard keys need to be hit kind of hard and when I'm in a hurry I don't always do that so I end up with tons of typos. Other than that, love this system and how easy it is to use every day.
This all in one desktop is awesome to have! It does come with a mouse and keyboard. Setup is super easy. It only took me 5-10 minutes to set up on desk and to set up an account. We already have a desktop computer in our household, but with 3 kids in school, having this extra one for homework is great! Since this computer is mostly used for web surfing and homework, 16GB of memory is perfect for us. Video quality is great as I've watched YouTube videos and used Hulu to watch my shows. Very portable, so if I need to relocate desktop, I can easily do so. Overall, a definite recommendation for any one looking for a simple and sleek computer to have for web browsing or homework.
I am really liking this desktop so far. It's so cool how the monitor is now one with the actual computer. Saves so much space and looks so much sleeker. The computer is also touch screen which is just a cool added feature when you aren't feeling using the mouse. I love the pop up camera - on my laptop I covered the camera so it's much more visually appealing to just pop the camera down rather than tape over it. Setting the computer up was simple and quick and then it was good to go. The Cortana assistant is very helpful when you're stuck with something or want a Siri like experience. The only thing I am not impressed with is the box show the monitor, keyboard, and mouse wirelessly when the keyboard and mouse are wired. Not a huge deal just not as neat looking. Other than that I have had no issues connection accounts, WiFi, my printer. Everything has been easy and quick to set up. The new Windows will be a learning experience since I am used to the older version and Safari. I love that this computer comes with so much memory and it looks great sitting on my desk.
The visual features are above my expectations. The only complaint is that is it a bit slow to start up and lags through usage. It is great for basic usage. It's like a desktop tablet since it is touch screen. The keyboard and mouse is very basic. There's also a camera that pops up. The sound quality is below average. Overall it's your standard desktop computer.
I"m and avid gamer and I will say this, this is NOT a gaming computer. The graphics are nice yes, but they lag super bad on several games due to the low RAM. My actual gaming computer has 16Gb of RAM and an i5, and runs significantly better. Hookup was simple enough. Three things to plug in and its ready to go. Which is VERY nice. Has several USB 2.0 and 1 USB 3.0. Two HDMI plugs. Comes with everything you need to get started. Unless you prefer hardwired, then you'll need an Ethernet cable. The startup takes a while and they have a new person similar to SIRI named Cortana. Shes annoying, but you have the option to turn her off. You'll have to setup a Microsoft account as well, which the computer walks you through. THIS IS TOUCHSCREEN, which we found out accidentally. Not sure how much we will use it though. The built-in webcam is hidden in the top of the screen. Push it in and it pops out. Security safety, so if anyone IS hacking your cam feed, they wont see anything. Comes with a 30 day trial of McAfee and Windows Office 365. Windows 10 of course. Now to the games. I downloaded several of my favorite games from Steam and Battle.net. Houseflipper, Diablo, HOTS (heroes of the storm for non-players). Houseflipper lags so bad even on the lowest graphics settings on everything. HOTS does perform on the lowest setting, but heeds a warning on the settings screen to lower graphics b/c of the lack of RAM available. All-in-all this is the perfect computer for using it as an home office, student work, streaming movies,FB and such, but wouldn't recommend it for any serious gamers.
I received this item in exchange for an honest review. I love this all in one! I mostly use it for school work and browsing social media and it works perfectly for both. The touch screen is great for scrolling and reading over notes. It is fairly fast browsing for research and social media. I haven't done anything too strenuous on it yet but once classes are finished I plan on playing a few Steam games on it and don't foresee having any problems. I also really love the pop-up webcam! It's a very nice aesthetic feature. I wish it had come with wireless keyboard and mouse to enhance the more sleek aesthetic but overall, it's a very nice looking computer and works great for moderate daily use.
