This is a pretty good laptop for the price. I bought it for my 10 year old son for school work only. It gets the job done, he's able to use multiple apps at the same time and although the camera quality isnt the best it got him through zoom classes during COVID
I bought this unit for working from home as it was on sale. Be aware that the webcam has no built in cover, and the on-off switch is present only in software. It has an extra memory chip socket inside so if you buy more memory you can easily add it into the accessible socket with the help of a screwdriver. This unit is good for basic computing tasks like word processing, light spreadsheets, casual games, web browsing, and the like. The screen feels small at the native resolution. I would strongly advise buying a wired mouse, as the touchpad works but is terribly annoying, and a USB thumb drive for backing up Windows once you get it home. I'm enjoying the device for its value.
I love this laptop. Lenovo came out with a terrific product, and its been running so well. Here it is now March 2021 and I purchased this laptop December 2019. What I've seen around too, is that Walmart gave a great price for it, for the holiday season 2019. Had I known how well this would perform I might've bought two.
This is my favorite laptop. With the SSD, it boots up very fast. Although SSDs do not offer much storage space, you could always get an external hard drive if need be. Decent amount of memory to make it run smoothly -- I really have no complaints. Plus, it's just pretty. I use it for going to school online and it is a nice machine with a decent price (I bought mine on Black Friday for $279).
Computer is a really nice computer for the money. I use it for school, and it gets the job done. The keyboard had wider placed keys than a normal keyboard and takes awhile to get used to it. The computer is super light in weight. The speakers are adequate. The webcam has good picture.
Bought this for my college aged son. I have a black one and his is midnight blue so we do not mix them up. Its light weight and easy to use. Great price for the speed and functionality of this laptop!
EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS LAPTOP WAS GREAT. I PURCHASED THIS LAST YEAR (2019) BUT WHEN I CAME BACK TO BUY AGAIN, THE PRICE HAD GONE UP BY OVER $50! HOW CAN A LAPTOP BOUGHT IN 2019 AND WANTED TO BUY AGAIN HAS INCREASED IN PRICE? WHAT'S WRONG WITH WALMART. MAYBE I GO TO AMAZON AND CHECK IT OUT THERE
So slow. It takes 10-20 seconds to start a youtube video. Maybe this was okay a few years ago. But in 2020 this build seems to be no good for much more than email, facebook, and internet shopping. I'm planning to return this and upgrade from an Intel 3 processor to a 5 or 7.
The configuration of this BRAND NEW Lenovo laptop may LOOK impressive, but it is far short of actually being useful. My wife tries to connect to telcons almost daily, and it often times out before it can connect. Often 15 minutes or longer. Have taken it to the Geek Squad to find out what the problem is, and they say it had a bad OS, and reinstalled it. STILL is painfully slow! I think this terrible crappy laptop should have had a better than 30-day warranty. This was certainly a waste of $400.
Do not waste your money on this laptop. Exactly 1 year after purchase, right as the warranty expires, the internal battery failed and began to explode inside the shell! Extremely dangerous, and replacing the battery cost almost 1/3rd of the price of the whole laptop.
