Good laptop for work and games

David314159 November 16, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This computer is an excellent hybrid of gaming capability and a professional laptop with a decent battery life. It is priced at a point that is much more reasonable than most gaming laptops and performs well for the purpose of both games and productivity. It also looks like a nice laptop that you can use for work (it has a nice lit keyboard but it has a conservative, professional appearance without RGB lightning and game related branding).

Fantastic and versatile machine

Garion September 23, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is great, it handles everything g I throw at it from Blender renders to crazy after effects renders and gaming too. Battery is great too, and while I never have it unplugged for too long, I never worry about the battery from casual use. Definitely worth the purchase

Worth 5 Stars

Nick BP October 26, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the first laptop I have purchased in 10 plus years and am very happy with my purchase. The laptop is exactly as described by Lenovo and having used it for a couple of months I wish I would have purchased it sooner.

Lenovo Legion 5 15ARH7

Chememe September 20, 2022

I am satisfied with my purchase. So far, my new Legion 5 has been everything I expected to be for the pricetag. And while it does not support or have certain nice features that would make the PC more convenient to use, such as Windows Hello support or a fingerprint sensor, it is understandable in my opinion. The only issue I have run into so far is with the Realtek Gigabit Ethernet Adapter being capped at only 100 Mbps. However, it was easily fixed by updating the driver with the newest release provided on Lenovo's website.

A rocky start, but a glorious finish.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well mine is a RTX 3070 Ti, and it's been an absolute beast. When initially getting set up and configured to my needs I was a bit nervous because immediately I had gotten to blue screens of death, and was getting watchdog error codes which usually happen with hardware incompatibility or issues with things like that. But after performing all updates and a little fine tuning I have not seen that error again so I feel confident it had to be some outdated drivers that were initially not updated upon first starting up.

Very happy with purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After my 8 year old thinkpad was starting to have some trouble, I knew I had to come back to Lenovo again. This time I wanted something that could handle the current generation of games in addition to other basic computational features, and I'm really happy with my Legion purchase. The price point, delivery time, and abilities of the laptop have all left an excellent impression. Lenovo makes great machines no matter what you are looking for.

Great laptop, awesome price

Frodo321 October 5, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Lenovo is performing brilliantly so far. I am not a big gamer, but what time I do spend gaming has been smooth with no issues. I bought this laptop for the extra processing speeds on business software because I am a student. Very fast, and great wifi speeds.

All I wanted and MORE!

Amwa September 5, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When choosing a laptop I wanted to have a laptop that was comparable to a desktop specs wise whilst not being too big and clunky to be cumbersome. With a sleek design, and relatively compact design I have little issues outside of very little battery life.

Good for regular usage, but not great for games

Jesse Parker November 16, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At first I was very impressed with this computer. The design is beautiful, I loved having the ports in the back to make cable management easier, and everything functioned smoothly and quickly. I only had three problems with this computer that made me decide to return it and look for something else: First, the fans were abnormally loud when downloading anything or playing games. I realize that many gaming laptops get loud when under duress, but this one was louder than I'm used to. Too loud to bring anywhere in public, although if you're just using it for internet browsing or schoolwork, it's super quiet and can't be heard at all. Second, the battery life was a little disappointing. After being fully charged, it dropped down to 5% after just an hour of playing games. I was hoping it would last a little longer. However, when I was using the laptop for schoolwork, the battery lasted 6 hours before I felt the need to plug it in (it probably could have lasted another hour or so before dying). I didn't test it with graphics-heavy software like Photoshop or Blender, so I don't know what the battery life would be like. Lastly, the graphics and resolution were great playing simple games and looking at images, but I was really disappointed at how they looked on the game I'm currently playing most often: Skyrim. While this game is certainly a little CPU and GPU intensive, it's far from the most intensive, so I was surprised by how fuzzy and bland the graphics were when playing the game. No amount of fiddling with game or GPU settings improved the graphics. Overall, I decided to return the laptop (even though it was beautiful :( ) and look for something else that would meet my needs better. This laptop isn't bad by any means and functions very well, but for the price I paid I was looking for a little bit more quality.

My bad luck?

Beckworth October 24, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to like this laptop, it looked great and performed great until I started a graphics heavy game, and it froze every single time. I tried the suggestions from tech support, but it still kept freezing every time I attempted a graphics heavy game. I sent it back for a replacement. The replacement had a rectangular area on the screen which was noticable lighter than the rest of the screen. It got lighter with continued use unitl it was almost a complete white out. I sent that one back and requested a refund. I decided to try one more time with a different model, the Legion 7i Gen 6 Intel (16") with RTX 3060. Absolutely no problems with that one. I'm keeping it.
