Great laptop for everyday use. Nice, large sized screen. Powerful. Seems like it would be great for gaming though we're not using it for that. The keys seems a bit crowded together - even when there's a LOT of dead space in front of them around the tracking pad. Also love the hinge point for the screen - it's not located in the typical spot - attached to the back for the base. It's forward about an inch. This has been the weak point for every other laptop we have owned, as all have eventually broken at the hinges. I think this design will help prevent that. Time will tell.

I bought it on Black Friday for $699 $45 tax, so I got it at a good price. Honestly, I freaking love this laptop, I might be biased cause my previous laptop was a total potato, but nonetheless. It's a Lenovo Legion and it's well made even if it's a 'budget entry level' gaming laptop. I honestly see myself using this laptop for a very long time, especially since I upgraded the RAM to 16GB and storage to 256GB 1TB. It's a nice, simple looking laptop compared to other gaming laptops that have that weird military grade tuff look. It IS heavy, but that is expected with gaming laptops, as is its short battery life, but I keep it plugged in constantly anyway. Most cable/ usb inserts are on the back of the laptop, with one usb port and an SD card insert on the right side and wired headphones one the left side. Lenovo Vantage is a cool feature, it gives you an overview of you CPU/ GPU/ storage, gives you immediate access to various features, from network boost, thermal modes (quiet, balance, performance), windows updates, macro keys, and Nahimic (microphone Stuff). No RGB keyboard :( but it still lights up with 2 adjustable brightnesses. Also, it has a little sticker on the front reminding you of the shortcut keys for the performance mode you wanna use. Neat! I use this laptop for Adobe Photoshop/ Illustrator and playing games, primarily Destiny 2 and Runescape. I have had 0 issues or crashes with this laptop while using those programs or while playing games, or otherwise. 2 RAM slots, unsoldered, installation was super easy. For Storage, there is space to add either a 2.5" HDD, or a 2nd SSD card. I did have issues with this, as the bracket needed for the 2nd SSD was hidden but included in the laptop nonetheless. Double TRIPLE check what SSD/ HDD/ RAM is compatible with your laptops and always watch a million videos and read as many guides as you need!!! I didn't know about The Bracket and spent way longer than needed on this. Here's what I used to upgrade my laptop SSD -- Crucial P5 Plus 1TB PCIe 4.0 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD CT1000P5PSSD8 - $135 at the time RAM -- Crucial RAM 8GB DDR4 3200MHz CT8G4SFRA32A - $31 at the time An electronic repair kit, with yknow screwdriver heads and opening picks, were essential in getting me to open this laptop up and get inside. It's up to you to decide if the current price is worth it, especially since upgrading RAM and storage is needed for longevity of this laptop. But ye overall 10/10 good Black Friday buy :D

A few things not stated in the description: 1. The graphics card is 4gb 2. The keyboard has a white backlight with 2 settings 3. Easily upgradable to 16gb of RAM and an additional hard drive, i.e. it has an extra slot, so no need to replace the small 256gb one.

The build construction was good and the keyboard was perfect, the only thing I disliked was that you would have to buy two separate sticks of ram to maximize the use of the laptop, it does have an extra slot for extra space with enough room for a hard drive or a ssd.

was very skeptical about this laptop. i ordered it cause 699.99 is a great deal. laptop showed up and was packaged well. runs like a dream. no issues at all. only thing id upgrade is the ram as its only 8gb. even at 8gb you can run most games out there. cooling is great as well. temps were good. not the best gpu but still runs most games fine.

Excellent as usual from the lenovo legion series. And at $599 it's a no brainer. Benchmarks extremely well with a quality Samsung m2 drive. Expandable memory and Sata hard drive bay. Would highly recommend and buy again. Keyboard feels nice and the screen is more than bright enough for well lit indoor spaces.

Firstly, the laptop arrived on time and fully in-tact/functioning. The laptop itself is a little beast. Crisp visuals and good performance. I got it primarily as a school/work upgrade, but have been very pleasantly surprised by how well it is for gaming. I've been able to play so many of my favorite games at a stable 60fps, which in my previous experience had only ever experienced them at 30fps on consoles. It runs Dragon's Dogma, and The Witcher 2, among others at crisp and stable 60fps. Throw Xcloud and Gamepass into the mix - this laptop has almost completely phased out my Xbox One X. Would recommend.

Lenovo Legion 5 is amazing! Moving up from an 11 year old Dell w/ Windows 7. My mind is literally blown. This laptop is a beast. Windows 11 is completely different but I'm looking forward to learning a new operating system. 17" 1080p screen @ 60hrtz looks beautiful. SSD is lightning fast. Everything load up in less than 3 seconds

Solid laptop for a discounted price of $750. The AMD Ryzen 5 5600H processor suits my needs way more than I needed it to. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 suits my needs well. I find the keyboard to be tactile but the key travel a little big for my liking. The trackpad feels good as well, and isn't clicky and loud. The laptop feels well built, it doesn't feel bendy unless you really try to where you get miniscule bend. Something good to point out is that it comes with the larger 80Whr battery and the smaller and less overkill 230W charger. Probably only downsides: Battery life isnt the best, but maybe since I'm used to better battery life on phones. I checked the RAM on CPU-Z and it is a 3200 Mhz Micron SODIMM CL22 1 x 8 GB stick in single channel mode. But you can always upgrade to something like a CL20 2 x 8 GB 3200 Mhz SODIMM and still find your Legion to be a good bang for buck. Display is good but listing says it is a 144 Hz panel while it is actually a 60 Hz panel. Display has good brightness of 300 nits for the price, a refresh rate if you aren't really into gaming, solid color gamut of 72% NSTC, but contrast ratio is around 800:1 which means more towards greyer blacks. Overall 4/5 to 4.5/5 stars. I reccomend the laptop, more upsides than downsides.

THIS WAS NOT 144 HZ AS ADVERTISED!! This laptop has a 60 hertz monitor. In the description for this laptop they straight-up lie to you about the refresh rate. Other than that, It's a fantastic gaming laptop. during black Friday I got it for 700$, and at that price point there really is nothing better. on the plus side it's built like a FREAKIN TANK. usually I worry about durability with electronics, but, honestly I think I am gonna break before my laptop is.
