This is by far the most expensive laptop I've purchased, so it would be assumed that it would provide me with what I was looking for on a daily basis. General everyday operations, decent gaming longevity, and enough space to save videos and photos without having to initially upgrade. Sure these can be accomplished with cheaper models and brands, but again, I wanted something more than just reliable and within my budget. With research and referrals, I ultimately decided on this Lenovo Legion model. It's way too early to know if this will end up being the correct choice and purchase down the road, but so far, it's exactly what I had expected and more.

I personally have been using my Slim 7i Gen 8 with an i7-13700H, 32GB of DDR5 RAM (Self upgraded crucial stick), RTX 4060, 240Hz 2560x1600p Panel and I love it. The panel is bright, fast and colour accurate. Moreover, I can get around 8-9 hours of battery life with keyboard lighting on RGB Wave and video streaming with wifi 6. It can sometimes be finicky with the Optimus switching but other than that its a perfect machine, well built, no scratches and its flawless after a month of usage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a system to play Half-Life Alyx with my Meta Quest 3. The Legion Slim 7i Gen 8 is a great laptop for this. I added a USB C hub for Ethernet since there is no port. The light up keyboard is actually pretty neat. I wish it did the visualizer when paired to a Bluetooth speaker as the built in audio is somewhat “tinny.” Overall, I am very happy. I wish I got the 1 or 2 TB hard drive as 512 is almost full with a small collection of programs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great deal for the specs and in my personal experience I have never had a bad experience with anytime I have owned a Lenovo or Motorola device, the only devices I have never owned from Lenovo are tablet or headphones. I very much enjoy my laptop it's quick it's slim, love the light up bar on the back that labels the ports, the fingerprint scanner is fast, the RGB.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop is very solid and very fast, and the screen is one of the best. This screen is better than every other laptop I tested in its price range, including the Macs. The Intel core i7 is fast enough for everything in normal usage including the few video editings that I do. The Nvidia RTX speeds up video editing software too. Websites on this machine open instantly. The screen at 240hz is so smooth, even for normal reading on Word or websites. The fan is pretty quiet. I use a fan cooler, so the laptop's fan almost never comes on. The chassis is metal and there is very little flex. The metal case helps with the overall heat dissipation too. RGB keyboard helps to improve the mood. There are 6 RBG moods, but I keep it on the first one. The speaker is pretty good for a laptop. It beats everything made a few years ago, and I am pretty happy with it. The full-size arrow keys are a plus if you use them. There are so many ports on this machine and should be enough for just about anybody. The fingerprint sensor is large and accurate for my fingers, and that makes login easy. Overall, this machine is highly recommended. I plan to install a 4TB NVMe drive in the second SSD slot soon, so I expect this machine to last me a decade.

I will be using the laptop primarily for school but I wanted some gaming capabilities for casual play and this build hit the mark on every level. Everything runs smoothly and battery life is decent considering it is a gaming laptop.

Laptop feels solid, screen is good, battery is as big as you can get, and it's probably the most portable one you can get with this kind of screen size and specs. Learning to use the Lenovo Legion Toolkit (and probably ThrottleStop soon) to maximize battery life and fan noise when doing everyday tasks. Wish there was a USB-C port at the back for docking and it supported 140W standard PD.
