Sometimes good, sometimes not so much, my last one was the OLED version with pulling-in keyboard notorious for its over-the-board progressiveness. Now, Gen5? Lessons learnt. The sturdier aluminum-magnesium finally beats its metallic rivals, and excessive features like said keyboard were replaced by overall robustness and smoothness of operation. The Vantage app is also great. There are still things to do, but it's still the best-in-class ultrabook to get.

It has a nib pointer, a track pad, a touch screen, and a built-in stylus. I can use the right tool for the circumstance without changing devices.

It feels like quality, the fact that this can fold back to be used as a “tablet” is priceless and makes it insanely easy to complete normally boring tasks where you're dragging the mouse back and forth. It's quick, it's smooth, it's well worth the money.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice computer, I have the 4K touchscreen - bright & clear, great keyboard - as always. The only con is that while the case is solid, it is very slippery making it easy to drop. Enough so that I purchased non-slip tape & put it on the bottom. I liked the carbon fiber of previous models. I've had ThinkPads since the beginning. They keep getting better. This one is no exception.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Last time I purchased a laptop was in 2018, it was a Ideapad U330. It actually still works but it extremely slow. I would rate this laptop 5/5 if it had an IRIS graphics option. The Intel Graphics 620 is just too under powered for any hopes of playing games. But I settled on this laptop because I wanted durability and so far I think it delivers. The laptop has decent amount of ports but I do wish that there was a USB-C on the right side of the laptop but if I had to pick a single side, left is probably best. I would recommend this laptop if you want a productive durable machine. I do appreciate there is a non-vPro CPU version for folks that are buying for person use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered 2 and both had the same issue of the microphone and sounds disappearing after use. after restart it would fix but then go out again. After updating many drivers it was repaired only to stop working again it seems to be the Intel(R) Smart Sound Technology (Intel(R) SST) OED driver. Still waiting to see if the latest update holds.

I honestly do not have experience with a wide enough array of laptops to know what a 5 star computer would feel like in comparison to others so I am playing it safe with an average and very satisfactory rating. After reading too many reviews of too many products, I decided to transition back to a PC from a Macbook Pro for my law school experience. I have yet to grasp all the shortcuts and amenities that the ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 5 (14”) 2-in-1 Laptop has to offer. That being said I appreciate the sleek design, light weight, battery life, and screen flexibility. The pen and touch pad are also tremendously convenient. I appreciate that the OS allows users to sync android and apple phones alike. I do find that I am not typing as quickly on the keyboard, but I am hoping that it is a matter of adjustment. The computer also pushes the utilization of Notes, but I am partial to the Google drive options for the ease of access between devices, my established familiarity, and widely accepted sharing capabilities. In order to get the most out of the computer, I believe that I do need to spend more time re-watching the provided videos to sort out the shortcuts and perks of the device that feel less intuitive after utilizing a Mac for years. For now the speed and maneuverability are more than enough to validate my purchase for the academically rigorous 3 years ahead.
