[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice Laptop, works great - really nice price point. Better than anything else at this price! Expedited shipping not good from Lenovo, a joke! but can't take that away from review of Laptop itself...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered my laptop in May and the estimated delivery date was August, so imagine my surprise when I received notification it was arriving early! This laptop is a night and day difference to my previous Dell laptop. My only regret is not buying it sooner. I said I was going to get the "whole kitchen" sink the next time I bought a laptop and am so glad I did. I loved being able to select all the options I wanted on the website which was also simple to navigate. My laptop is amazingly fast and if I had to say one negative thing it would have to be having Windows 11. Just when I figure out how to navigate Windows 10 then they up and change it and some of the logic used doesn't register with my "old" brain. I know I'll figure it out just taking a little longer than I would like. :) If you are thinking of buying a laptop, buy this one!!!! I certainly could have gone into a brick and mortar but I would have just been able to buy what was on the shelf and having the ability to pick and choose options from the Lenovo website was worth it and so was the wait!!!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The WSL IO performance is very slow. Its difficult to do serious engineering work. 16 cores is nice but with out linux operating system compatibility, windows operating systems will always be sub par compared to Linux operating systems. Still scratching my head on how to better my work flow using my current computer. I should have never followed through with recommended updates to windows....
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Robust laptop. second X1 Carbon in 6 years. First one still works good, but my toddler pulled out some of the keyboard letters and it looks old. From my experience, the laptop works fine even if the toddler walks on this light weight X1.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ThinkPad X1 Carbon continues to push out heat through vents located under the laptop and the overall effect seems to be self-defeating at times when not enough heat is released thus forcing the fans to fire for longer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 10 Intel (14") is an excellent laptop. I have previously purchased ThinkPad X1s, with the continued great functionality and features. The ThinkPad is a significant value for the money.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded my X1 Carbon Gen 9 with the Gen 10 because of the more powerful i7 CPU. The Gen 10 is even more impressive now than ever. I didn't notice the battery life to be that big of a difference as some people pointed out. It still provide adequate battery life when I'm on the go.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With Ubuntu pre-installed, I was up and running immediately. Camera is awesome ( with a cover), the backlit keyboard is comfortable, memory is fast, plenty of storage. This is a solid laptop to replace my Sys76 Lemur.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've used an X1 since 2015. This is my 3rd; my first was stolen and I STILL use my second one. So this is more of an upgrade than having an issue with the computer. The gen 11 is lighter and faster, with a better screen and (I think...still getting used to it) better typing experience. Strong recommend if you want a forever laptop that will endure a lot of travel and long hours.
My computer keeps crashing. I will work on Ward documents, and then the Microsoft Word application will close automatically even though the autosave is on. And none of my changes would've been saved. it took me an hour to change a few sentences in a 100 page document because the Microsoft Word application would keep closing on its own. And none of the changes would have been saved. I never had this issue with my previous ThinkPad.
