Excellent ultra-portable 2-in-1 laptop

SmashingTheStack March 3, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Build quality is excellent. The keyboard is very nice to type on. The TrackPoint pointing device is as good as ever. The display is crisp and the camera is high quality. I also like the physical switch on the camera that allows you to ensure it's fully off and blocked. It also includes a real audio port, which is rare these days. The only drawback is there are only two usb-c ports, and one is needed for charging purposes. A docking station or usb hub would be needed to use any peripherals.

Titanium is a titan of a laptop

Rich in Seattle May 11, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very well built, fast, thin and light laptop. Was worried about the lack of ports but…it's working out fine. Lenovo does a good job of pushing out updates so hope that remains the case. Sound could be a bit better but I didn't buy it for the speakers. It meets my needs for a lightweight thin business laptop.

Fantastic Value!

D Tran April 22, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this for our son who'll enter college this fall. We want something that will not be obsolete or break down during his undergraduate years, and still be powerful enough for graduate school. Family members in IT recommended Lenovo so we've been keeping an eye out for a "deal" and this came up as too good to resist. We saved over 60%. But more importantly, it's going to meet our son's needs. The laptop is super light, probably because of the smaller screen and lack of the number pad. But that's ok because he's not studying finance or accounting and he can connect it to a larger monitor in his room. It has a stylus and he's already used it when he worked on his calculus problems. The color and sharpness are unbelievable. We got him a case and a USB hub since there are only 2 ports. We hope there'll be a similarly good value/deal in three years when our younger son enters college.

Feels good man

Jose Centavos March 10, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this laptop because I travel a lot. Finish is nice and it works great as long as I don't have 50 tabs open. Pen is neat. 3:2 aspect ratio like the early ThinkPads. Tics the boxes for me.

Definitely worth the price of admission!

Idaho Cary March 27, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this unit for a few weeks now. Going from a desktop keyboard to the laptop has probably been the hardest thing. And, it wasn't all that hard. The unit is a joy to have. Being disabled with chronic neuropathy, I can't carry much and have to change positions often. This thing doesn't feel much heavier then my ASUS Zen 10" tablet. The battery life is amazing. I must've easily used it for 5-6 hours before I got any warning about battery starting to get low 15%. And, that is with max brightness and no performance (read: power management) changes. All-in-all, this is a fantastic piece of kit!!!

Impossibly light yet sturdy

Titanium Thickdad March 28, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the X1 Titanium for a month now and I can't get over how light this laptop is. Yet it feels really well built and sturdy that I don't feel like I have to "baby" it despite its very high price tag. Build quality is great, hinge is stiff and doesn't wobble, stays cool, and the screen is gorgeous. But..you might want to look at the X1 Carbon before buying this because that's a tiny bit cheaper, has a couple more ports (the Titanium only has 2 USB-C ports) and I believe a bigger battery. As much as I love the X1 Titanium, only consider it if you can't live without a 4:3 ratio screen (the best for laptops) and willing to sacrifice ports for better build quality. I only wish it had an AMD chip instead of Intel.

lightweight powerful computer

A A A A January 2, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The computer is lightweight. I have say that I bought the same model in summer and had to return it as it was heating up a lot. I tried my luck again a couple of month ago and had to wait till my customized computer has been shipped. This one seem to be ok in terms of temperature. I have been with Lenovo computers since they were IBM and my first computer served me 10 years and is still alive. I do love having a pen as I take a lot of hand written notes. I did know that because this computer is so thin there is no place to park a pen. The pen does go missing - the magnet is not strong to keep it in place. That is something that I will have to get used to and I wished there were better solution for that. Hence 4 stars and not 5. Other then that it is elegant, fast , thin, and fast Lenovo computer. Hope if will last.

Have laptop will travel!

BigPappaPuzder September 11, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this for my son to take with him when he attended college in the fall. We both were impressed by the compact but very capable laptop. The reason for not giving 5 stars was the fact that I am grateful we bought it weeks before needing to use it for school. The updates were seemingly never ending for the first few weeks of him familiarizing himself with it. But that is par for the course. I would buy it again!!

Portable computer but with areas of improvement

Rolando Almada May 16, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi, I recently bought this computer as my main work laptop and I can say that in terms of performance and portability its very solid. However, the fan is noticeable loud and the build quality of the titanium cover is not what I expected; after a week of use it developed a deformation on a corner that looks as if the metal sheet raised a bit from the border and this is not a dent or anything. Despite that minor issue, it's a great work laptop.

Too Thin For It's Own Good

Zarzak January 24, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a close to great laptop that is held back by being 'too' focused on thinness. Good: 3:2 aspect ratio convertible/writing works well thunderbolt 4 screen quality processor choice physical camera shutter! Bad: Keyboard (too shallow, due to thinness) Lack of physical trackpad buttons like the other x-series models (the haptic buttons are pretty bad) Battery life (small battery size due to thinness) Port selection Ugly: The fingerprint reader doesn't work great - its very inconsistent I had horrible speaker driver issues - it required hours of support and factory refreshes to fix. Overall if the laptop was a smidge thicker and heavier it could have had a much better keyboard, trackpad buttons, a bigger battery, and a larger port selection ... it would have been close to perfect then. Alternatively, if Lenovo wanted to go the super thin route they should have worked to make a fanless model similar to the macbook air. Finally ... its 2022, everyone is using zoom - this should have a higher quality webcam.
