[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an amazing laptop for the price. 228V processor matched with 32gb ram and 1tb SSD and the 2.8k OLED touch screen with haptic touchpad provides a wonderful user experience. I've been using the laptop constantly for 3wks and it does not disappoint. The chasis is very rewarding to handle and has a very premium feel, not to mention the aforementioned power was packed by Lenovo into a very lightweight package.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using the ThinkPad X9 15 Aura Edition for a few weeks now, and I'm genuinely impressed. The performance is lightning-fast thanks to the Intel processor, and multitasking feels effortless—even with demanding creative and productivity apps running simultaneously. The 15ʺ display is stunning: crisp, vibrant, and perfect for both work and streaming. The build quality is classic ThinkPad—durable, professional, and surprisingly lightweight for its size. I also love the keyboard; it's comfortable and responsive, making long typing sessions a breeze. Battery life has exceeded my expectations, and the cooling system keeps things quiet and efficient. Whether you're a professional, student, or creator, this laptop is a solid investment. Highly recommended!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The linux team at Lenovo is working hard to support all the hardware in this laptop. Everything except the webcam is working, and I have no doubt that'll be working within a few months. The haptic touchpad is a joy to use, and the keyboard in general is great to type on. I'm keeping a small portion of the disk for the Windows OS to handle BIOS and firmware updates, but linux will work for everything else.
Great laptop, larger screen than I have ever had with brilliant colors. Fast start up and consistent performance. Solid construction. This is one of many ThinkPads that I have owned over the years, and I am never disappointed in the quality and durability of these computers. Lenovo does it right.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put a lot of time into figuring out what laptop to get. I went with the 15 in X9 with 32gb of Ram and 1 TB hard drive. I've used Macs my whole life and decided to do a switch to windows for a couple years. I use my laptop for work and personal. I have a remote work set up at home with a monitor and I travel a lot. What was important to me was a good trackpad , keyboard, screen, and performance. This is the first time I really thought I could get all those. So my transition from my MacBook Pro wouldn't be as painful. I think I still prefer MacOS. But I do a lot of heavy excel work and the whole Microsoft suite is just better on windows. But the computer itself is honestly great. Screen is beautiful. Better than any Mac. Keyboard is better than any Mac. Trackpads unfortunately aren't close to MacBook level but that's a tough ask. It's more than good enough. Haptic is really loud and clicky, even on the lowest settings. But it's serviceable. The hardware itself beyond that is amazing. Laptop is so thin and light. Ample ports. Battery is average. But I always have plugs around so it doesn't bother me at all. Overall so happy after about a month. Really only improvements I'd make are the trackpad. But again. Trackpad isn't bad. It's just not MacBook level.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the 3rd Lenovo I've owned and the best so far. The last one I had was an X1 Yoga flip and while this laptop doesn't flip, it's superior in performance. I use it for work, not gaming, so take that into consideration. The battery lasts a long time for those long flights and brightness of the screen works very well. Highly recommend.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was VERY hesitant straying from traditional ThinkPads. At home and work I've been using various Lenovo computers and devices for decades now and I'm directly coming rom a T14 AMD Gen1 that was still super reliable but starting to show it's age (2020). I was just going to get another T14, but there was an outstanding deal on the X9 - I just had to trust that it was still a "ThinkPad", despite reviews being less than glowing about they keyboard - something VERY high on my feature list as I spend HOURS typing. True, the keyboard is NOT what Thinkpad traditionalist would enjoy, but that said, it still better than typing on any mac or dell keyboard, so I'm still okay with it. What blows me away is the battery life and completely unexpected gaming ability. I bought this for creative and graphical work more than anything else. It EXCELS at that, SO fast, best battery life I've ever had. So far averaging around 12hrs with mix of load-heavy app, browsing, and video. My T14 would have given up around the 5 hour mark. I completely marginalized the speed and efficiency of this latest gen of procs from intel. OH AND I picked up the X9 for $250 less than my T14 cost when new. Also, OLED is gorgeous, and somehow the speakers are outstanding (for a laptop) as well! Could not be happier with my purchase. I loved my T14, had no issues or complaints other than brightness (only 300nits cuz of security screen filter). Great working earning loyalty Lenovo, well done.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall the laptop seems to be working well, but it seems to be a huge memory hog. I purchased 32 GB of RAM, and just turning it on without any programs, is using 50% of the memory. Chrome is also incredibly slow, which may be a Chrome issue vs. laptop issue.
Everything about the X9 is great except for the anemic Luna Lake cpu. Why? Too slow compared to the new Panther Lake cpu in the X9 15p model new this year but can not yet buy? Save your coins and get the 15p. As for the X1 Carbon I use to have, I still miss it because it was so light. I just loved it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using a ThinkPad for a few years, and this new version is light and stylish. I would love that they removed the red button in the middle of the keyboard—I don't think anyone would use it. What I don't like about the keyboard on this new model is that they turned the right‑hand Ctrl key into an AI button. As an Ubuntu user, that key is totally useless to me. Additionally, the keyboard now has only one Ctrl key. Instead of moving the left‑hand Ctrl key a bit toward the center—next to the space bar—they swapped the Fn and Ctrl keys. For someone with small hands, this makes common shortcuts such as Ctrl + N, Ctrl + C, etc., very difficult to execute with one hand, which is terrible.
