Revell Visible V-8 Engine Model Kit
I purchased this for my son and he loved it!!! He worked on it, and finished it in two weeks. This was a great model. It really worked his motor skills. Thank You

Educational Tool
This kit is amazing. I built this same kit from Revell in the mid 1960's. I learned so much about the workings of basic engines. Cams,crankshafts, pushrods that were strange to me at the time. I learned so much about "basic mechanical engineering" with this one model. At almost 70, I look back at this as a foundational/educational piece. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

The Kit Is Good, The Instructions Not So Much
Helping my daughter assemble this engine was one of the great events of her childhood, for both of us. She learned a lot! The instructions leave quite a bit to be desired; I'm a stickler for following the instructions, but even doing our best, we made a couple of assembly mistakes. Still, we ended up with something that she's very proud of.

Stop letting I hold you back !
People really need to get over the whole fact that it states it for boys. If a girl/female wants to put it together then let her. Don't let labels dictate what you can or can't do. Duh!

If the devil came in the form of plastic.
Very disappointed with this engine model. Not only will you need glue, but you will also need a fistful of cash for the swear jar. The written directions were a colaberative effort from the fine folks of Ikea and a group of gents who enjoy writing mystery novels. Plan on spending plenty of time with a hobby knife trimming and shaving each piece to get them to fit correctly. As an added bonus, we were missing a couple pieces. Best of luck if you decide to order this. I suggest spending a bit more and buying the Porsche model engine
