TRUE TO SIZE — PERFECT FIT! I don't like skin showing through rips so I used the sewing service behind the counter in the select stores to patch the and wow! I love them! PLUS—with this sale price you can't lose either way if you like them as-is or want them patched like I did. Check out the photos.

I like the very slight stretch in them. There isn't much but make them so comfortable. I am a huge fan of the dark blue Levi's has always had and am glad I am back to wearing Levi's.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] follow the advise on this. buy 1 inch larger than the waist, 3 inches from the length. it will shrink gradually to fit you, after a few washes. wash cold inside out to minimize fading if you like to maintain the true denim color.

The denim feels strong and premium, with a clean, timeless look that pairs well with almost anything. The fit is comfortable and true to the classic 501 style. After a few wears, the jeans start to mold nicely to your body while maintaining their shape. Great quality, excellent craftsmanship, and a staple piece for any wardrobe. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still my favorite for over 30 yrs and have had a few over time. But has become hard to find and order last style number is not available. This one is similar but I have noticed not quite as "heavy" and same with 501 jeans.

Levi 501 Shrink-to-Fit button fly have been my jean of choice for years. I understand changes in denim manufacturing. But what I do not understand is changes in cut. At 6'7" 245lb I wear a 40W 38L and they shrink nicely to fit the way I like, slightly long in the leg for when wearing boots and a comfortable waist. The two new jeans I purchased have been soaked in hot water, washed and dried three times. Yet, they appear 'BAGGY'. I compared them to a pair of jeans purchased 5 years ago. The waist are the same the length are the same BUT the seat and especially the legs are noticeably wider. 0.75 inches wider, not so much an issue in the seat, but the leg diameter changes how the entire jean looks....baggy. Maybe that is the new trend, but this change in pattern and cut is not 'Original Fit'!!! If I wanted RELAXED fit, I would have ordered that.
