Lewis Bake Shop Hearty Rye Half Loaf Bread, 1/2 Loaf, 12 oz

I love this bread! it is always fresh and soft when it is purchased and remains so until the last slice. The rye flavor is subtle yet delicious and I have used it for tuna salad sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, for ham sandwiches,homemade pimento cheese...it is to die for...not sure what I will try next,but probably not with peanut butter... then again I just might see how that works, too? LOL

Lewis bakery does a great job with all of their bread and their rye bread in particular is very very good always and consistently good and I recommend Louis bread to everyone and I'm really glad that Walmart has this as an option Thank you

Good taste, and not,too heavy like some rye breads. It is a smaller slice, but it works well as a hotdog bun when you want a different taste. It's good on slawdogs and krautdogs.

Hawaiin Bread is my all time favorite in that it adds a touch of sweetness. I do not eat a lot of bread so these half loafs are perfect for me. Lewis Bakery has been around (here in Evansville) for years. This bread is just as good as the expensive brand. Only complaint that I have is with the Walmart "pickers". This bread is sometimes sold out. In this case, I always list "Lewis Bakery Honey Wheat" as my substitute. The last time it had to be substituted, I used my back-up and the picker got "Lewis Bakery Rye". These two breads are nothing alike. I am old school in that Rye is used for BBQ or Rubens.

I love the Lewis' loaves of bread . Larger loaves seem to mold or go stale before we can finish them. The smaller loaves of Lewis' is perfect for my household. We love the different varieties. The texture is just right and they are always fresh and delicious.

love this bread thin enough the rye isnt overwhelming seems just enough love all the different kinds of bread and stays fresh and doesn't mold unless forgotten

This bread is delicious.It holds up when you grill it. It doesn't get mushy.It has great rye flavor that isn't in your face. I love it.

As a widowed senior citizen, I appreciate Lewis' 1/2 loaf bread. I don't always need a particular brand (sourdough, 12 Grain), but I appreciate the flexibility! The Rye is especially good!

Rye bread is my absolute favorite and this is the best kind I have found throughout multiple markets will continue to buy this product until I probably die

I love this bread and most of the other Half Loafs, but on this order the Rye Bread was already past due. It was dated, best by 01/13/26 but I received it on 01/14/26. I kept it anyway and put it in my freezer. Going forward please check dates before hand. Thank you
