Lewis Bake Shop Whole Wheat Half Loaf Bread, 1/2 Loaf, 12 oz

Great bread for the whole family! We loved it as plain buttered toasts for breakfast in addition to using it for sandwiches. Not too overpowering of a flavor when paired with other ingredients.

Lewis Bake Shop Whole Wheat Half Loaf Bread is an excellent source of whole grain wheat. Makes excellent toast. Nice smooth texture not grainy or tough. And being a 1/2 loaf is preferable especially if only 1 or 2 people are eating this bread. And the freshness is lasting. I use it for my deli mesquite turkey sandwiches w/organic homemade guacomole and my toast w/organic fruit preserves. The slices are of a perfect thickness, for my tastes, not thick and not thin so it holds up well for a hearty sandwich or preserves on toast.

As a single person, this size loaf is perfect for me to make it one week with fresh bread that doesn't go to waste, so I gave this a try. I'm glad I did because it was really good bread. I usually buy the Bunny brand wheat sandwich bread, which stays fresh a long time but is sort of thin and the taste is good but not anything to write home about. But this Lewis half loaf bread was really good tasting bread and the slices were just the way I like them, not too thick, not too thin. Will buy again!

I really love this bread. The texture is mid with noticeable grain you can see. It is also a lower carb option and does not have a huge list of added garbage. The loaf size is perfect for households that do not intake a lot of bread and refrigerates nicely without drying out.

This is literally "THE BEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD!!" ;-) I absolutely LOVE this bread! The texture is fantastic, and I appreciate the fact that I can buy a smaller loaf, since it would take me forever to use a full-sized one... and it would always go bad before I was able to use it all. Since I don't like bread that has been frozen, it never worked out well for me to try freezing slices from a big loaf. This bread is perfect for me!

The size of the slices is a bit smaller than what you usually find with a half loaf but the quality is high. I always refrigerate my whole grains. The grind is not coarse so it is nice to chew even after toasting. It is a more substantial wheat bread than the similar half loaf from Sara Lee 9 grain but that brand uses more than whole wheat.

I just tried this kind of bread to see if I would like it better than most other bread 🍞. I really like it and also it comes in half loaves. I first bought the sourdough one, wheat, and now the Honey Wheat bread… I like all of them. So if I just want a half loaves of bread, this is what I will buy from now on.

This bread was moist and flavorful to the last bite. It's quality matches or exceeds every bread I have tried.. I have, and will continue to, recommend this bread to family and friends. Added bonus for me is that I can buy it in 1/2 a loaf and don't have any waste.1

I was searching for a small loaf of whole wheat bread that wouldn't break the bank and found this brand. The price was good and I was pleasantly surprised at the superior quality. The loaf is soft and the slices are tender, where as a lot of wheat bread can be dry. The flavor is great, and I like the whole grains baked on the top of the loaf. I've had it as sandwiches, toasted with butter, and a slice folded over with some miracle whip as a little snack. The real test for me is a pb%26j. It holds up wonderfully when spreading the pb, yet soft and delicious as a pb%26j should be. I'm so happy to have found this brand. Please don't ever stop carrying this bread!

I received a stale loaf of bread which was dry, and not so good tasting. I had to throw it away. My grocery order was delivered from a local Walmart store, so I had no control over checking the freshness date. This bread might be better, if it were fresh.
