I relly like them! And they are very effective in allowing you to set up different environments so that your hearing aids are affective no matter where you are.
I tried three other hearing aids (Audien Ion Pro (with Bluetooth), Ion, and MD Hearing VOLT) before I purchased Lexie's Bose B2. I have worn Bose Sound Control since 2022 till they got broken about three months ago. The sound was just like normal hearing. I came back to Bose. The sound and the controls on the B2 are the easiest. Most of the controls are on my cellphone so I can see the various modes/levels. It has Bluetooth, but my phone is not set up for that, so it is a little more simple to use. But, the biggest thing is the sound is clear and even, no echoes, voices are clear and I can control the various background noises.
After doing a lot of research on prescription aids versus OTC ones I decided to try the Lexie B2 aids. So far I would give them a 5 out of 5 rating! I had zero problems when I received them getting started and the quality is outstanding! Support is great . I was tested and had mild to moderate hearing issues! I can now understand conversation in crowded areas an watch TV with normal sound!
Thanks for their customer support. I had a lot of problems getting them to initially work. The people were very helpful though. I could NEVER have gotten them to work without their help.
This is a good product with the very nice sound quality that you would expect from Bose. I replaced a $6K pair of Phonac hearing aids with these and so far so good. They are small and rechargeable and I would never get anything but rechargeable. It’s just too convenient. You can’t fine tune them like an audiologist would with more expensive hearing aids but they have a bass/treble adjustment and that seems to work suitably well. You can make some adjustments in the app, but I’ve had a terrible time keeping them paired with my iPhone so my recommendation is to take care of that first thing in the morning and don’t close the app. It has 4 ‘environments’ you can choose but I find that Normal works well for all but the noisiest restaurants. I’d give them a 5 if it weren’t for the frustrating pairing issue with my phone.
The hearing aids are good once you are able to connect them to the APP. The problem is that connecting to the APP is very difficult. If you go from one environment to another (example from an outdoor venue to an indoor restaurant), you cannot easily change the settings because you cannot easily connect to the APP. It becomes embarrassing to have to continuously open the APP to try to connect. I have contacted Lexie multiple times and they continue to say that it is a known problem and that the engineers are working on a fix.
1) Left unit will not turn on. => HW or production fault. 2) Lexie App requires (implicitly), that both units need to be working in order to establish Bluetooth connection. => SW shortcoming. 3) Phone support technical assistance is weak. => Poor training.
I am very computer literate, but I could not set up their app and connect the hearing aids. I kept getting error messages from the app and useless information about what to do. They advertised terrific support, but it is not terrific, or good, or even fair. It is poor. Their chat feature is useless. Their "expert" help is backed up for days so I had to wait 3 days for an appointment. Their expert spent an hour trying to get their app working, but all we got were error messages. The messages got sillier and sillier as this "expert' worked on the problem. I don't think he knew what he was doing. This is a very expensive item and it should be great. But their app is so poor I could not even try out the hearing aids. There was no getting them set up, and I don't have unlimited time to hassle with bad software.
Bluetooth is misleading. The only thing Bluetooth does, is allow you to control volume. It already has controls on each ear piece to do that. Bluetooth is an absolute waiste.
MEH. These work, but only to a certain point, I am sure they are not worth the $1000 price tag. I can hear the coffee maker, the dog barking, my grandson crying, a plastic bag rustling 50ft away, but it did very little to help with the sounds I needed, like everyday conversations or the TV. Basically it amplifies all the little high frequency sounds to the point of annoyance, but not the sounds you want to hear. By the time I turned the volume down so that every little movement, mouse click, sniffle or my own voice wasn't blowing out my ears, I couldn't even tell if they were working for anything else. The iPhone app is pointless, basically a wonky volume control that doesn't connect half the time or takes so long to connect, that by the time you need to make adjustments it's too late. The fake website reviews online will lead you to believe these are customizable based on your individual hearing test results, and that is blatantly false. Sure you can take a hearing test on the Lexie website. I dare you. Then your phone will start blowing up 10 minutes later, with them trying to push this product on you. The hi-tech audio controls consist of: Volume, Balance. Period. The same as a 1972 El Camino stock radio.
