I had been using Lexie Lumen hearing aids and decided to step up to the B1. The sound is very good but the app is very different! It only comes with one ‘wire'. If it doesn't fit, you need to order more. Also it has wax guards vs the wire used to clear wax in the Lumen. It doesn't come with any extra wax guards so I had to buy those. No self administered hearing test but there are base and treble adjustments.
Starting at the lowest cost (amplifiers) to the next level (squealing in my ears), I finally have the hearing aids that match the quality and performance of the Phonak hearing aids I had worn for 10 years.
Over the years, I have own many hearing aid and/or hearing amplifiers. Since birth, my ear-drums are flat and doesn't reflex sound very good. I also have some moderate hearing lost in both ears. Left side tends to be better than right. After a few weeks to fine tune things, I love several things: * Battery Life is a little over 3 days, which is great! * Double-latch for the battery compartment. Prevent battery for falling out. * Mobile app is friendly and easy to use. Independent Left/Right controls would be nicer vs. panning. * Not an amplifier, actually hearing aid * Great sound, some random clicking. Could be my glasses. * Great price-point Things would recommend: * Changing the voice to a chime when the battery is low. It scares me every time she speaks! * The carrying case have a place for the cleaning tool, plus a battery or two. * Independent volume controls for the mobile app
very clear sound, good amplification i have everehearing loss, faily easy to adjust - some diffiucukty in connecting to App - batteruy life about two days - often make tweets an warbles on it's own - example - jingling bells drive it wild and it make sounds on it's own
I have owned the Lexie B1's in the past and was very satisfied. When I found these on sale %26 I had been having trouble with my old set (after a few years), I bought them! I had tried other brands in the past %26 was never satisfied with sound quality. But having Bose sound has been a game changer.
Needed service after 6 months. Does not come with Wax Guards (filters). Cannot get replacement parts from anyone (e.g., Amazon) - need to go through Lexie (slow).
I upgraded to the B1 from the Lumens. So far, I am really happy with my decision. Big improvement on sound quality, very comfortable, I frequently forget that I am wearing them, and the battery life is good lasting 5 days on average. I wear them from the time I get up until I go to sleep. My only negative is that there is no hearing test to customize the device.
Grateful to obtain battery powered hearing aids at affordable price (for me). A bit disappointed in sound (prone to feedback/screeching especially watching TV) and lack of equalization control or Bluetooth capability to anything other than a phone.
After receiving and making a phone call we were told they are only for mild or moderate hearing loss. Would have been nice to know that up front. Customer service was very good with Lexie.
The left hearing aid was defective so the help line told us to call and start a return. We have called twice and they said it would be a 5 minute wait we were on hold for over 2 hours and never talked to anyone. We called twice more and the recording said they would return our call and they never did. If I don't get this call completed I won't get my money back and I can't seem to get anyone to answer or call me back.
