This spark plug wrench is a MUST have to change the plugs in most modern cars with the spark plugs imbedded way down in the engine. The older style spark plug sockets with the rubber neck get old, cracked and will drop your plug (old or new) back down into the engine. It is a royal pain in the neck to retrieve the plug once it has fallen. Got to have this one.

This worked straight out of the box. Trying to take the spark plugs out of a Mercedes C300 is a bear with a normal socket set, as they're in a deep well that would have made it a royal pain without a tool like this. Paid for it's own purchase price by letting me do it myself rather than have the dealer do it (at a cost of - no joke - $500!).

I was using a regular 5/8" with no rubber grommet to grab the plug or magnet. The grommet kind can get stuck and pull off the ratchet - this magnetic one was great; it significantly reduced the time needed to go in the spark plug well with needle nose pliers and try to fish out a plug by feel. I cant believe I didn't get this in the first place. Plus the flexibility makes it less likely to damage the plugs.

I love working on my cars.. and always wanted to make an easier way to change plugs. I never wanted to spend money on a "tool" that I can just use other ones.I tried this out.. and not sure how I never bought it before. It is very easy.. and love the magnetic part. I have always just used two different spark plug adapters.. one with the rubber piece in there and the other no rubber piece.. and switched between those two, depending on if I was taking them out or putting in, since the rubber would always be pulled off when I tighten them. The magnet was amazing and I can not believe how much time I saved.Well worth the money!

I have a Cadillac ATS 2.0L Turbo with 80K miles on it. Time for a spark plug upgrade? YUP! You can reach and unscrew the plugs with little difficulty wiht your ratchet socket extension but getting the plugs outa the hole isn't easy with an old socket set. Putting new high performance plugs back into the holes is not easy either. The magnet and swivel are great additions to my old auto tool box and made it easy. And it is very shiny. Go LEXIVON to reach it all more simply.

Worked great removing plugs from a 98 F150 with a 4.6l. Only exception was number 4 where I had to use a different socket and extensions. Well worth it - made the job much easier and got 'er done in well under 3 hours. Would have been 1.5 hours except for the 45 minutes spent on that darn number 4 plug. And that included replacing the wires too!
