I've hammered on every single one of these adapters with my Milwaukee M18 FUEL 1/4 inch hex impact Driver, The most powerful 1/4in hex driver on the market and all have held up to max torque (2000in-lbs) without any damage. A must have for any mechanic or tradesman that wants a solid adapter/extension set for their tool box!
Basic black oxide coated tools have socket mounts on one end and a quick-change 1/4" hex at the other which is compatible with 3-jawed chucks, quick-change adapters and the 1/4" chucks on many cordless impact drivers. Not likely to get used often but a good tool to have on hand that may save some busted knuckles.
I used them as soon as they arrived. They are well made and took the extra stress of my pliers with my impact driver to beak loose some bolts I was having a hard time reaching. They fit the sockets great and my ratchet to drill drive converter perfectly so I did't strip them like I did with the set I got at another well known tool company. They cost a bit more than I wanted to pay for a non brand name but they seem like they are going to last and that's really important to me since I hate having to go all the way into town to get a replacement to some piece of crap tool that breaks in the middle of a project.
I wasn’t sure but glad I bought them. I had never heard of this brand before but thought I would take a chance based on some of the other reviews. Loving this item so much that I bought 2 other items of the same brand. They are all getting very well used and there have been no issues at all.I would buy these again.
No, not made in USA, sadly; but they are made in Taiwan. The bits themselves, quality more than enough for the home or garage. Obviously there is a limit based purely on the dimensions of the sheer point... but will be more durable than most other types, which are often poorly cast from lesser steels. Also a nation (Taiwan, the 'Chinese Nationalists' in exile) worth supporting if just not buying US made.
I like these because they fit a niche that isn’t too common, but I see a definite use for it. I’m happy for the 3/8 90% of the time, but the others are also a must for a tool afficionado. Since you’ll likely be using them with an impact driver, you’ll want the impact rated. Seem like pretty good quality with a good price at time of writing.
My hubby was not even close to handy when we met well over a decade ago. During that time he has learned so much, and is now our neighborhood favorite backyard mechanic to work alongside and DIY your car repairs, he is also so wonderful with home stuff! I love this brand of tools because they are so affordable, they are heavyweight, durable, and they are what they say they are...so the sockets are a perfect, tight fit, and we love them! It is so nice to try an unknown brand that clearly values quality greatly! This is a prime example of that! So far my hubby has only used these on the cars, and man...the extensions are so nice when he is working on our truck, or a boxer engine, like our Subi. He absolutely loves them, and this brand is no joke. We have several tools from them now, and we love them all. Buy with confidence!
Here is a basic law of manufacturing...the longer something is, the more difficult it is to make it perfectly straight. When you are manufacturing an impact rated tool, with the requisite hardening and heat treating required to manufacture said impact rated tool, the challenge of making it perfectly straight is compounded. This is a set of 3 twelve inch long socket extensions in 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch sizes. I have a stainless steel straightedge I know to be perfectly straight. I held each of these 3 foot long extensions against the known straight edge, and discovered that all 3 pieces were not perfectly straight. The variation from perfect straightness was not great, but it was definite and unmistakable. Will this matter in the performance of the tool? Possibly. Especially if these extensions are subjected to high torque like might be expected in impact rated settings. I would look for something better.
First time leaving a review but just had to this time. Item is not fit for purpose I use this product with my makita impact driver which only has 700nm of power and it snapped on the first use and it was only used for a few seconds so I do not recommend this product to anyone
