Lexx: The Complete First Series (DVD)

You will never know what to expect next from this entire series. Funny, camp, interesting scenery, improbable situations, all the things you won't find on American TV. Somewhat sexy because the leading lady is, after all, a cluster lizard. The pilot, a dolt, who flies this giant space insect that can blow up planets, is a man no woman wants. The two thousand year old dead guy, looks like he is in his twenty's. An oversexed robot head with a serious problem. A long list of whacked characters in adult situations that ran for many seasons on Canadian TV.

One of my favorite series. It wasnt a few years ago a season cost double that.

The reason I marked this as "not recommended for a friend" is due to the full-frontal nudity in the second episode. Be careful of recommending this to family and friends unless you know their limits very well. All that being said, the stories really are insightful, in the vein of Star Trek meeting Family Guy. It doesn't shy away from adult situations like most other sci-fi, but it definitely deals with heavy issues in a balanced and deeply cutting manner, surprising me repeatedly. I highly recommend it to any sci-fi fan of age who is okay with thinking after an episode.
