I've had this unit for over 4 years, religiously drained the water during humid months. I absolutely love this unit and sorry to say I think it finally stopped cooling. It runs but just doesn't cool anymore. I am looking for the replacement model to this one. This model cooled to 60 degrees. Someone please help me find a match to this one, thank you
Love it. Cools really well, runs quietly
The absolute BEST purchase I have ever made. Im going to buy another one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered this unit after replacing my 5+ year old 8,000 btu soleus portable ac. After getting the hoses connected and set up properly, which only took around 30 minutes or so, it started cooling the room a noticeable amount quite quickly. The oscillation feature is also a great plus! It helps move the cold air around very well. Very satisfied overall. The only thing i noticed is the hose leaks a tiny bit of air where they connect to the diffusers, very easily fixed, a little tape, or plastic will do the job. No big deal really. My old portable ac did the same thing.
i bought the portable ac a couole of months back at the beginning of summer since i am a truck driver and always on the road with ac i didnt want my kids to suffer during the heat so i bought them the portable ac and i installed it the living room since that is where they spend most the day and they loved it they were so happy they didnt suffer like other summers back i even loved it on my days off. if my house had a second floor in i would buy another ac in a heartbeat
Im so happy I got rid of my window A/C and switched to a portable unit. I can still have air when I need it, and have fresh air Windows when weather is nice. I love ALL the LG products I have purchased, from my phone, to my TV, to my AIR CONDITIONER. Which cools my entire apartment with ease. The ease of use of products, to customer support are great assets to the quality of service and products. I AM a SATISFIED Customer!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Only use this for the summer had used it 2 summers worked great the first one after that it has been nothing but headaches it works when it wants to warranty is not the best they just say you need to clean the coil and we don't do that we only change parts so you end up on square one I have 2 units and both have the same issue one even has like some water spraying with the air when turning on 2 years and I just went and bought new units
The unit works as expected. The only bone I have to pick is the lack of enough screws included with the unit. Some assembly was required to vent the unit out doors, AND THERE WASN'T ENOUGH SCREWS TO DO SO! Luckily I found replacements. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Trash! Bought it 2 summers ago. Went to use it for the first time this summer 2022, the compressor doesn't turn off after shutting down. Called and of course it's out of warranty and the cost of fixing is slightly less than a new AC. I'm so disappointed. First and last LG product.
It seems like the whole premise of this machine is to be able to move it from room to room as needed. I can't comprehend how such an advanced piece of technology could have such a poor venting solution. It comes with an adhesive foam for an air tight seal that instructs you to stick to the sash/frame of the window, not the panel itself? So what do I have for the second window? Or better yet, when winter comes how do I remove this adhesive so I can actually close the window and later reuse? If you've ever worked with this stuff, removal is a mess... It feels very permanent.
