excellent low price for an 8000 btu! 299 bucks got it for my uncle. im glad this one is not damaged. i had to reorder a 12000 btu lg came to my house damaged bent frame. i hope this one works well at keeping cool! can't wait to try the 12000 btu be here next week! wooooooo brother A if all turns out well
It's not very loud, much better than the one it replaced. It pumps out the cold air and is pretty efficient on power use, definitely better than the one it replaced. I would definitely recommend the 5000 BTU LG digital air conditioner for a small space. This one cools 135 sf no problem.
Carriage is smallest enough for a window 12" high!!! 11.5 SEER Rating!!! 4.1 Amp pull (unbelievable, low elec usage cost factor) Ice cold. Best small unit on the market, most efficient, reliable. Great for bedroom/office! Super Quiet. 50 decibal rating, lowest unit noise on the market! Lawrence, Houston, TX.
Compared to my previous Frigidaire AC unit, this one feels a bit flimsier, doesn't sit in the window tract as well. But I made it work. Definitely lighter weight product which is what I needed.
installing was a process the directions are like all over the map..just keep it simple the 12,000 btu lg is very quiet but doesnt seem to push as much as im use to with other brands. i have to keep.it on 67/68 to cool my living room. other brands 72 was good. im in southeast tx where temps are high. Im hoping this 1 last more than a yr like the last 2 i had.
I have always choose GL products but thiss one surprised me. The quaility was not what my last one I had. It's ok but not great.Need darker print on face of ac. As an older senior we need to see clearly, must use lighting to read controls. ok but ot great. Also must turn it down in order to cool like my last LG air condition.
I didn't receive what I ordered, instead I received a different brand, with broken parts that can't make an proper installation. I call the online department to get a refund, but didn't see reflected on my account that the item was removed. So I'm still waiting for instructions what I can do with the wrong item I received.
Came damaged it cools but then cuts off.. my time frame to ship back expired so I just took my loss. I'm not sure if it was on shipping but you can see the damage on the styrofoam in the ac is damaged making a horrible noise when it is on. Don't blow cold either which is really depressing. If looking for a ac make sure to just go get it yourself!!! Like I said this might be a great ac and whoever shipped it damaged it. UPS or FedEx I forgot who shipped but very terrible
Ordered it online, paid a handyman to install it and learned that it didn't work at all. Turned on and blew air, but it was only hot air. Gave it a few days to improve and it never did. Was a complete waste of money and time.
I really want to like this unit, but it constantly (at least daily) goes to the ‘clean filter' setting. It isn't cooling or drying the air like it should. Ive cleaned, restarted the unit, tried and waited…. Hoping it would reset and work properly. I think I must just have a lemon. Now… how do I get a replacement?
