I had a different experience, I live on an island there are no LG service centers nor does anyone service LG refrigerators. I have An error code CF for the freezer and E for the fridge. I believe Something could have happened in transit from Miami.
My old refrigerator worked just fine, however, it was a side by side and drove me nuts. I cannot tell you the difference my new LG has made for me. Having difficulty bending and reaching, it has really "opened" everything up. So far, it is the best purchase I have made. It runs quietly and I always have plenty of ice when needed. A very happy camper am I.
We bought this refrigerator sight unseen on the strength of the high rating at Consumer Reports and we could not be more pleased. We were very constrained in our choices by the size of our space and this fits perfectly. The inside is much roomier than I had imagined and I was able to adjust the shelves to accommodate everything we keep on hand and I still have room for "extras". It's so quiet we can hardly hear it running. So far we're extremely pleased.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge because it was one of the few models that fit into our space, however we've been very happy with it. I really love the French doors, and functionality of shelving. I still struggle a bit with the freezer drawer and how best to organize things to avoid digging through everything to find something however. Finally, I wish this product had the stainless steel that didn't pickup fingerprints. Overall we have been very happy with our purchase and it's great for smaller spaces and still holds food for my whole family.
The shrill whine that this refrigerator makes almost 24/7, is the most annoying part about it. I love the functionality of the refrigerator, but I am not sure I can even keep it if this noise is going to continue forever. It just never stops. The guy who hooked up my ice maker told me it should get better over time, but that is not the case. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We have only had this refrigerator a short time, but both of us love it a lot. We are retirees, which means it it getting hard to get down low. It is so nice to see what is in your refrigerator, without getting on your knees; plus, the freezer and ice maker are in a perfect place. It is very quiet and performs well. We hope it will continue to do perform well into the future.
I needed a certain height and size for my small galley kitchen and since there aren't too many French Door refigerators this one fit the bill. I love the crispers and the glide n serve draw. I use water to clean it since I found from past experience on other stainless steel appliances that cleaners leave a film.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] FIRST 3 YEARS were great UNTIL we had MAJOR ICE SLABS YEAR 4 Awaiting investigation/repair through extended warranty … Stay tuned 🤷♀️
I researched different brands and chose LG because they had good reviews so I feel compelled to warn others of my experience. This was part of a 3 appliance suite we bought in January of 2015. French door Fridge, Range and OTR micro. They replaced 17 year old appliances, the old fridge compressor was thumping so we decided to upgrade. Love the design and look of the appliances BUT micro stopped heating 10/3/15, warranty repair required parts that needed to be ordered and waited until 12/3 to have it finally fixed. As fate would have it the very next day the fridge compressor died and everything defrosted, now waiting for warranty repair again while living out of coolers and buying ice. I don't trust these appliances at all and would never buy again. Two out of three haven't lasted a year!! Now I will be forced to buy the extended warranties and have no faith they will last even 5 years. I'm retired and can't afford to replace major appliances every few years! Whatever happened to quality products?
I have an LG Refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer and they alll are terrible. I have used Whirlpools for 55 years and then 4 years ago bought all LG - bad decision. The washer went out right after the warranty was up and it cost over $500.00 to get it fixed. The dryer does not dry the clothese completely. No matter what cyle you use on the dishwasher, it takes two hours to wash the dishes. You can put it on rinse only but you cannot shorten any other cyle they all take 2 hours. The refrigerator freezes all of my vegetables in the vegetable trays and lot of time freezes vegetables and food in the refrigerator compartment. So aggravating. Sometimes the freezer part will freeze ice cream and sometimes the ice cream is soft. DONOT buy these appliances. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
