[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were dubious about changing from a brand we have been using for many years now but we are so happy that we chose the C5 it is truly amazing, I did not think we would get such a good looking picture on the tv we are so pleased and can honestly say this is best TV we have ever owned
Had this TV for a few weeks now and am happy with the purchase. The screen is distinctly bright even in the bright living room. Unbeatable OLED with stunning blacks and contrast. Watching movies is cinematic and playing HD games is really immersive. The remote is controller is handy with an easy layout but missing a mute button (need to hold down - the volume button to mute). The voice recognition is very accurate on these models so easy to search for anything on YouTube if you hate typing. I would recommend this TV.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love my LG C5! I spent weeks comparing it against the 77-inch Samsung S90F before pulling the trigger, and I have zero regrets. While the Samsung is undeniably bright and punchy, the C5 wins out by a mile when it comes to overall cinematic quality, processing, and everyday usability. The upscaling on the LG C5 is phenomenal, taking lower-resolution streams and making them look incredibly sharp and natural. What really sealed the deal for me, though, is the inclusion of Dolby Vision. Movies and shows look stunning with rich, infinite blacks and beautiful shadow detail in dark scenes, whereas I felt the Samsung's contrast in similar environments could look a bit washed out. If you are a gamer, the C5 is an absolute dream. It handles Dolby Vision gaming and sports 4K at 120Hz/144Hz beautifully across all of its HDMI 2.1 ports. The Samsung S90F is gorgeous if you only care about ultra-vivid colors and maximum peak brightness in a bright room, but if you want a true all-rounder that excels in movies, TV, and gaming, the LG C5 is the clear winner!
Greate TV, love the color and contrast and a good size too. It's a pitty it is let down by a poor remote, they need to rethink the decision to not have a mute button, holding down the volume button just doesn't cut it. Bought a one remote for all to replace the original remote, extra cost I didn't need but it's nice to have a full function remote.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tv has made such a difference to us. My husband is hard of hearing and being able to adjust the sound quality tone etc as details as you can with this tv's technology is a game changer. The quality of the picture and ease of use is also very impressive. Glad we invested.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fantastic TV. The screen is beautiful to look at with a high level of detail. Do make sure you personalise the image and sounds to you for best result; couldn't be happier once we played with the personalisation features. Really was an upgrade.
Though the blacks are amazing, within a week of use a vertical blue tint on left edge of screen becomes very apparent when the content shown has a white background. Emailed LG support and provided screenshots and pictures but no replies received. Totally disappointed in LG. Should have invested more for a Sony.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having had this for a few months now, it started great, but now all apps keep crashing (Netflix/apple to/ prime/ bbc etc) I spoke to lg and they did all tests and changes, nothing helped. The advisor them spoke to their engineers and we tried more fixes…nothing worked. They then said speak to the app developer, but it's not a glitch on the end of all apps for sure. Ive seen a lot of c5 oled people with the same issue and it seems like a memory or board issue. I tried to speak to LG again but I've got no where and Im concerned i have a very expensive paperweight instead of a beautiful Oled TV. If so many people are writing of this issue on google, YouTube and Reddit, then why do we still have the issue, or not automatic replacements or maybe upgrades? I would really love for someone from LG to see this, know that even their engineers couldn't fix this issue and step up to assist with a real fix, replacement or upgrade to a less glitchy model.
First OLED I've ever purchased and I am really disappointed. Has a horrible green tint that shows up if you view the dispaly from any other angle/axis that isn't perfect dead centre of the screen. Don't recommend LG's OLED TV's as they all seem to have this issue to some extent.
After much deliberation, reading expert reviews, viewing in store, I purchased the much praised OLED direct from LG. Arrived as planned and set my eagerly awaited replacement TV. What a huge disappointment picture clarity, no depth, blurry images if not the main focal point. The colours may be vibrant, but too vibrant they cause blooming. I have tried all of the modes and manually adjusted the brightness and contrast, but to no avail. This is going back in the box to LG
