LG - 4.3 Cu. Ft. High-Efficiency Top Load Washer with TurboDrum Technology - White

My Whirpool five year old washer went out on Christmas eve. We wanted a washer with an agitator and one you could see the clothes actually washing. LG Hit all of the wants and needs. I am very happy with this product

Love the options & adjusts time on cycles depending size of load. 4 way agitator not like old agitators more a blend of impeller & agitator really liking it. Clothes clean no problems there. Only wished book was download - had to print pages needed to refer to as needed .

Being older, there was a but of a learning curve with all the computer settings, but now find it very convenient.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased an LG washer. I thought I'd be intimidated by the dials, but it is so easy to select what is needed for your wash load. I love the way the washer knows the proper settings and water level that is required. I couldn't be happier.

I'm not sure why the negative reviews.. I just got my washer and dryer 2 weeks ago and LOVE THEM BOTH !! no issues and no problems if you just do some research(you tube) and read the manual you would honestly be surprised at how well this machine washes the clothes etc... speed wash is a excellent cycle to use for reg load ... do not overload do sperate loads and YES You can add more water if needed but the washer cycles pretty much knows how much water it needs to use

A fairly recent purchase--less than a month--so I'm still learning the ins and outs of the machine. I am happy of the quality of my washes but a bit frustrated that I am limited by my ability to control some of the functionality. Also, I am very obviously using much more water in my washes the with my prior machine as I am certain my next water bill will show--my wash times are much, much, much longer per load, as well. It is early but am feeling some buyer's regret...

They smart that was dysfunction did not work even though it's clearly displayed on the model I made multiple attempts called multipleSupport people from LG and followed their directions several times and still didn't work very disappointed in that last of the future seem to be OK

Worst machine I've ever owned. If you place a folded item into the wash it remains folded. Dirty clothes stay dirty. Minimal amount of water used. I thought washing meant using water.! I follow a TikTok that shows vintage washing machines washing clothes from the 1950s and 60s. The agitator cleaned the clothes fiercely. How did we improve from this we didn't. How am I conserving water when I'm washing my loads 2 to 3 times to get them even wet. I've tried every setting and nothing works. It's a waste of my time and it's a waste of my money.

Built quality is poor. Tolerance levels are not defined. Came with a wobble and shake. Over a few months it got much more pronounced. Center agitator vibrates all over the place during spin cycle. Drum is out of alignment. Makes noise due to vibration and shake. And caused a noise compliant due to noise the machine make to the apartment down stairs.

We just wanted a basic washing machine without a lot of bells and whistles and this unit seemed to fit the bill. But after a month of trying to like this washer, I give up. It spends a lot of time "sensing" the load (LG calls it SmartDiagnosis, but if this is what they call smart I'd hate to see the dumb version), but not much time actually washing. The cycle seems very long with a lot of soaking/thinking, but not a lot of washing/agitating time. The water level is frequently so low that you can't see it. I've seen the agitator (LG "TurboDrum Technology") struggle to pull a lone sock down into the tub for 15 minutes or more - I feel like a spectator at a sporting event watching the underdog struggle to pull ahead, saying, "You can do it, you can do it!", but ultimately it can't. There's nothing "turbo" about the agitator, drum or wash speed unless you're a snail or turtle. There's no way that it's getting anything really clean. And while trying to conserve water is a worthy goal, the rinse cycle uses such little water that any captured dirt - and most of the used detergent - ends up as smudges on your clothes. That's a really bad look on darks. When your clothes come out of the washer looking dirtier than when they went in it's a problem. I'm only rating this washer a 1 star because (1) the dirt smudges seem to blend in well on your whites, (2) because it has a glass lid which makes watching the entire frustrating experience a little bit easier, and (3) because it looks nicer than Grandma's old wash board. So, if you want to waste several hundred dollars, I recommend just flushing it down the toilet. But if you want to waste money AND experience hours of disappointment and frustration, and wear dirty clothes, then this is the washer for you.
