LG 4.5 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Top Load Washer with TurboDrum(TM) Technology - WT7000CW

Received 12/23. It is quiet, easy to use, and attractive. My previous washer sounded like an airplane and was complicated to use. This machine plays a gentle tune when the wash is complete.

Bought this to replace an old agitator washer. Hands down this is the best thing to happen to the house in years: The washer uses a lot less water yet cleans everything you toss into it. For sheets and bedding, use the bedding cycle. The spin cycle is fast and removes the water. To the point where I think the dryer is running for less time to dry stuff off. And yes it plays cute tunes when starting up and done. I like it.

We bought this washer a couple of weeks ago, and after using it several times, I wanted to share some feedback. Overall, the washer is very nice—it's beautiful, and it runs smoothly. However, I do have a few concerns. On the Normal setting, the initial display shows 76 minutes, but within the first minute the time suddenly drops to 54 minutes, and I'm not sure why that happens. Also, during the Normal cycle, the water level seems very low, and the clothes on top don't turn or move to the bottom, so I have the same concern that some items on top may not be getting fully washed. When I use the Bedding cycle, the washer fills with water almost to the top, but the movement isn't strong enough to turn the sheets. I've noticed that part of the sheet never gets wet during the entire wash. It only becomes wet after the water drains and the washer goes into the spin and rinse cycle. This makes me worry that the untouched area isn't being properly washed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gets clothes clean, but after 6 months all the words starting rubbing off the machine (they are not covered under the warranty). In addition, it must be terribly filthy already because it has been getting brown stuff all over my clothes. I have had to run the clean cycle at least 3 times. I wonder if the grease-like spots on my cloths be from the machine also...

I purchased a WT7000CW machine last year and I'm very frustrated with the lack of control over the water level. Either hardly any water is put into a wash or too much water! There is no happy medium. The bedding cycle fills the tub all the way up to the top and the laundry swirls at the top of the water and doesn't really get clean. The normal cycle puts hardly any water into the tub and I don't feel the clothes are getting clean. When you select "water plus", it fills the tub to the top in which case the laundry floats at the top and doesn't get agitated. The deep fill option is the same. Water fills to the brim with the dirty laundry swirling around at the top of the water far away from the agitator. Horrible design! So sorry I purchased this machine.

The agitation is minimal it feels like clothes are not even washed, only rinsed and even then the agitator does not rinse enough. I have treated stains on the clothes previously and the stains are minimally washed, even after washing the clothes twice in a different cycle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] very unhappy. it thinks for me, and water level so low on normal cycle, body odor is not washed out. if you add bleach, the waterr ratio is unpredictable. bad for fabric. try to watch a cycle before you buy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The washer leaks and it's brand new. Have had it for about two weeks. I have a warranty so now I have to have someone come fix it. Very disappointed in the product.
