Exceeds expectations! F1 amazing in detail. Live Socceroos tremendous. Brilliant colour. The sound is as good as my Bose system - no longer need the subtitles on.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were dubious about changing from a brand we have been using for many years now but we are so happy that we chose the C5 it is truly amazing, I did not think we would get such a good looking picture on the tv we are so pleased and can honestly say this is best TV we have ever owned
The 65-inch LG C6 OLED is an outstanding TV, with perfect blacks, great brightness and overall amazing picture quality. If you are coming from an older TV, especially a non-OLED model, the difference is absolutely night and day. The built-in speakers are surprisingly good, especially with AI Sound Pro turned on. The HDR performance, pixel brightness, picture modes and high refresh rate make this TV feel very premium. Built-in cloud gaming also works amazingly well, almost as if you are using a console. Using a PS5 with this TV is another level, with HDR making games look bright, colourful and very immersive. WebOS is also surprisingly good compared to other built-in TV operating systems I have used. The picture quality is stunning across everything, from live TV to Netflix, YouTube and Apple TV+. Assembly was straightforward with two people and a Phillips head screwdriver. The slimness of the TV really stands out, as the panel is incredibly thin. The stand also looks sleek, luxurious and sits at a great height. The built-in OLED care features and automatic pixel cleaning are great to have and give extra peace of mind for long-term use. The only thing I wish this TV had was a gigabit Ethernet port, as streaming apps and cloud gaming could benefit from faster wired speeds, although I understand most OLED TVs still use standard Ethernet ports. Overall, this TV is a true all-rounder. If you are considering it, I would definitely recommend going ahead with the purchase.
Had this TV for a few weeks now and am happy with the purchase. The screen is distinctly bright even in the bright living room. Unbeatable OLED with stunning blacks and contrast. Watching movies is cinematic and playing HD games is really immersive. The remote is controller is handy with an easy layout but missing a mute button (need to hold down - the volume button to mute). The voice recognition is very accurate on these models so easy to search for anything on YouTube if you hate typing. I would recommend this TV.
Got 2 C5's for a good deal, have been enjoying since, breath taking picture quality. Sound could have been improved. You would definitely need to pair it with a decent soundbar. Unfortunately LG soundbars are inferior compared to other brands so will soon plan to buy one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very happy with the LG OLED65C55LA. The picture quality is excellent, with deep blacks, vibrant colours and smooth motion, especially for films and streaming. The design looks premium and the smart TV interface is easy to use. Sound is decent for a slim TV, though a soundbar would make it even better. Overall, a great OLED TV and very good value.
Excellent brightness, colours and customisation. Always shocked by the clarity and brilliance of a OLED panel. The remote controller is my main concern. It has a few unnecessary buttons and the middle scroll wheel doesn't function beside activating the pointer feature, which could be remapped to one of the other buttons, freeing up the scroll wheel for the many menu options that could use it. The menu UI is a bit big and intrusive, sometimes slow to operate. I got this TV for a discounted price but I would happily pay full price for this. If you want beautiful picture accuracy for films and games, this is 100% the best tv for you. Also, little tip, If you really want to test this TV, find a high quality version of The Revenant, that movie is a technically perfect tech demo.
The TV remote takes some getting used to but the actual unit is excellent. I found the manuals very poor, with the installation guide having multiple sizes of TV with different options and some of it seemed to be in French ! One would think that for the money a model-specific guide could be provided.
First OLED I've ever purchased and I am really disappointed. Has a horrible green tint that shows up if you view the dispaly from any other angle/axis that isn't perfect dead centre of the screen. Don't recommend LG's OLED TV's as they all seem to have this issue to some extent.
After much deliberation, reading expert reviews, viewing in store, I purchased the much praised OLED direct from LG. Arrived as planned and set my eagerly awaited replacement TV. What a huge disappointment picture clarity, no depth, blurry images if not the main focal point. The colours may be vibrant, but too vibrant they cause blooming. I have tried all of the modes and manually adjusted the brightness and contrast, but to no avail. This is going back in the box to LG
