LG 5,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner with Manual Controls

Nice compact window unit, perfect for a bedroom. Not very noisy!

Unit appears to be well constructed. all wearable surfaces are painted. Blows cold air life saver in the humidity of the South.

AC is perfect for small room that needed some extra AC. Easy to install and set up. Humms away and keeps the room cool.

This one came in without one side completely smashed in, which was nice to have happen. Of course, being late fall I have not plugged it in to use. But I have looked it over and it is in one piece. That's a bonus.

Well, I haven't used it yet but it looks very nice. It's been cold weather but now it's warming up so I should have it in a couple weeks. Looks real good. I hope it works good thank you

I didn't realize this didn't have a temperature control, which is a bit of a nuisance, but it works great even though our room is a little too big for this unit.

The reason for 4 stars in Overall Satisfaction is the unit was to replace an older model, and one of the dimensions is bigger (the length, front to back), causing the need for modifications during installation. However, this is not a problem with the actual functioning of the unit. This was the best price I could find online, and LG is very reputable for quality.

I have had the a.c. for a few months and use it nightly in the Texas heat. It is cool enough for the price but as the temperatures go up outside, it seems the smallish ac struggles to keep cool in fact, can sometimes feel more like a regular fan. Overall, I am satisfied with the product...just don't expect it to work like the higher BTU units and you're good!!

Unfortunately, this unit did not fit in my window. The measurements are accurate but my window was not double-hung, which was required for this unit to fit securely in the window frame.

Recently purchased this 5,000 btu ac for my bedroom and I cannot recommend this product to anybody. Ac is very flimsy from the get-go. Had the ac for less than 2 months and already feeling like there is a loose component in the unit as the motor runs which is very strange and therefore, had to unscrew the ac to see the inside. Extremely loud for such a small ac. Had decent luck with a 10,000 btu ac I purchased with LG a long while ago but truly disappointed this time.
