Stunning Picture Quality and Immersive Experience

MohammedAli August 27, 2024

I recently upgraded to the 77-inch LG C4 OLED TV, and it has been a game-changer for my home entertainment setup. As someone who loves watching movies, sports, and gaming, I was looking for a TV that could deliver top-notch picture quality, and the C4 OLED did not disappoint. The first thing that caught my attention was the stunning display. The 4K resolution, combined with the OLED's perfect blacks and vibrant colors, makes everything look incredibly lifelike. Whether I'm watching a blockbuster movie or playing the latest video games, the picture quality is consistently breathtaking. The HDR performance is outstanding, with deep contrast and bright highlights that really pop. Another standout feature is the size. At 77 inches, this TV is truly immersive. It feels like having a movie theater in my living room. Despite the large screen, the thin bezels and sleek design make it a beautiful addition to the space. The C4 OLED is also packed with smart features. The WebOS interface is easy to navigate, and I love how quickly I can switch between streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video. The remote control's point-and-click functionality adds to the convenience, making it simple to find exactly what I want to watch. For those who have never experienced an OLED TV before, the LG C4 is an excellent introduction. The picture quality is unmatched, the smart features are intuitive, and the overall viewing experience is phenomenal. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their home entertainment setup.

Blown away !

dazse16 August 14, 2024

So after having this incredible TV for 2 days now I am simply blown away on every aspect. Let's start with the set up . After mounting the stand and connecting the HDMI cables we were ready to go . The set up was one of the easiest process I have ever done on a TV. it was so simple with no jargon that was hard to understand. The TV has a very clever AI picture function that will set the colour mode for you after you have selected a few pictures . The whole menu is very easy to use and navigate around. watching UHD films on the TV has been outstanding , the crisp picture will pick up the most amazing detail and action scenes are smooth with no judder in the motion. I must also say that I was worried that a 77" Tv was far too big for our room but I was wrong , It feels more like a proper cinema experience now . If you are looking to upgrade your TV I can honestly say this is the one to buy.

Fantastic Tv for cinematic viewing

Anonymous August 15, 2024

Upon receiving the tv the sheer enormity of the box in my living room made me think, is this tv going to be too big. Once unpacking it was clear how secure the tv is in its robust packaging and that the tv was the perfect size for my room. Its slim profile allows it to fit well onto my raised stand making it look like it floats above the TV unit. The ultra-thin bezel makes the screen appear almost borderless, will give it that “in the movie” type feel. Upon switching on the setup is intuitive and easy and the tv was up and running in less than 10 minutes. All the smart apps are there like i expected and the magic remote is a dream to use. I have had an LG TV with a magic remote in the past and this new one has a way better feel and usability. The first movie we watched was Mad Max: Furiosa and wow the colours and deep blacks blew me away and this was with out of the box settings. I had to calibrate my previous TV, but this one is awesome immediately. The only change i made was to turn the true motion off, but that is a personal preference. Other than that for me the picture is out of this world. Sound quality is good, but like all TV's not as good as it is with a sound bar or speaker system. But it again is way better than my previous TV. There are so many features and things to play with you could sit and play for hours. The phone app is also a Great addition allowing me to control tv with my iPhone and also register warranty etc. Gaming on my console is also fantastic on Game optimisation mode. Dolby vision colour, no lag. Full screen video. Tremendous. Apple mirror is also seamless, you can get youtube on your phone, pick the video you want and then stream it to the tv, without even using tv remote. All in all this is the best TV i have ever seen and it looks amazing in my living room. I cant wait to start watching all my 4K Blu-ray's again. Can't recommend this tv highly enough it is top spec.

A Superb OLED TV

Anonymous May 21, 2024

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS The unboxing experience was positive, it comes in an easily removed box/packaging and can be done by one person, although it would be easier with two. Once out the box, my first impression was Wow! The top 2 thirds of the screen are impossibly thin, and even on the lower third, where all the electronics and connections are, it doesn't get that much thicker. Most of the connections are on the left-hand edge, with the power cable coming out on the right. PICTURE QUALITY This was amazing! Being OLED, the blacks are inky black, but what amazed me was how bright it gets. I had heard OLEDs don't get very bright, but I was blown away. While watching a 4k Blu-ray of Star Trek, the ships details were bright and clear, while the surrounding space was ultra dark. After a bit of fiddling, I got the skin tone to be as accurate as looking at someone face-to-face. I had to turn off most of the AI and Auto functions, as they made everything too vivid and over-saturated for my eyes, but once setup, I was so happy. Motion is dealt with very too, with no blurring that I could see, so sports look great. I have heard the screen is really good for PC and console gaming, but I haven't tried that. SOUND This was probably the weakest aspect of the TV. For an LCD/OLED, it was actually impressive at first, but there's not much bass, although the sound is nicely balanced. No amount of fiddling would let it sound anywhere near the quality of my fairly low-end Sony soundbar though, so I won't be using the in-built speakers SMART FEATURES This was another aspect that really impressed me. The WebOS platform is quite mature now and the interface is quick and easy to use, with all the apps I need available. The remote, while fairly plasticky, is a joy to use, with the gyro 'mouse' making navigating to apps much quicker than just scrolling left and right. I have noticed no slow-down with the interface yet. In fact, I will probably be retiring my nVidia Shield and just using the TV from now on, which I was not expecting. All-in-all, this is by far the best TV I have ever used, and I would recommenbd it to anyone.

Another top OLED TV from LG

TA227 June 7, 2024

Having owned one of LGs OLED TVs before I had an expectation that this new LG C4 OLED would be of a high quality but the step up and development over the last few years has been larger than I expected. This is really a top TV built to last a long time with a range of smart features built in. The set up of the TV is straight forward, minimal steps are required if you are using the stand, and the TV itself has a really user- friendly set up process, this guides you through user creation, picture, sound, network and streaming services. Within around 15 minutes I had set up my internet connection, signed into a host of streaming services and set up a picture profile. The TV looks very impressive, with small bezels around the edges and it does feel very much like a giant photo frame. The only slight negative is the stand, for such a large set I think a wider stand would look better, this is still fine and more personal preference. The controller is the same as many other LG's, it is effective and simple to use with quick buttons for streaming sites such as Netflix, Prime video, Disney+ and more. If there was one downside I would say the back has a really shiny plastic and from past experience I know this scratches super easy. Not a major issue but considering the price and quality of the TV, the controller doesn't quite match that standard. The picture quality of the TV is the real stand out. OLED TV's always have amazingly deep black tones, and this is exactly the same with brilliant contrast. However, where this improves on previously OLED's is the brightness, it is considerably brighter than my previous LG OLED. Allowing for better viewing, deeper contrasts and improved range of colour. Another area of improvement is the sound, this is by no means better than a sound bar or dedicated setup, however it has far greater range than previous LG TV's and also to me seems to get much louder. The TV has a raft of built in features such as Chromecast, which is great as my partner uses a fitness app and can now cast directly to the TV without needing a dongle. LG's webOS operating system has developed over time and again is very simple to use, with a row of your apps which can be customised to your needs. Overall, I am very pleased with this TV, Watching films and TV has never looked so good, with improved sound and all the feature proof features you will need for many years to come. I would highly recommend .

Amazingly vivid picture

Vasil August 27, 2024

I bough this bigger 77” for our living room already having the 65” in the bedroom. This TV has the most vivid and natural looking motion picture I've seen. Colours are true and not over boosted - the remote control is a dissapointment. Feels and looks cheap and plasticky. The motion sensor in it is not accurate as much as my 7 years old LG to remote. However apart from the remote I have nothing else to add on the down side. The sound is quite clear and perfect for movies and watching tv in general. If you're listening to lots of music is worth considering a sound bar. I have to also mention the ultra thin bezel. It is made from brushed metal and looks very premium

Installation did not include Freeview.

Readyeddie July 6, 2025

It was quite a surprise when installing the tv. I expected Freeview to dominate but instead it was all about LG and I had to search for Freeview after installation. Each time I switch on I have to select a tile for “live tv” which is annoying as sometimes clicking this tile brings up the apps. If anyone can tell me how to get Freeview as my startup I would be more than happy.

Premium Price, Surprisingly Ordinary Performance

CMH2 February 27, 2026

I recently purchased this 42-inch “top of the range” television with high expectations, given the marketing hype and premium positioning. Unfortunately, while it looks impressive on paper, the overall experience has been surprisingly underwhelming. First, the absence of a mute button on the remote control is baffling. For a flagship model, omitting such a basic and universally used function feels like a major oversight. Adjusting the volume down manually every time you need silence is inconvenient and unnecessarily frustrating. Second, one of the inbuilt apps — and one that I use regularly — consistently relocates itself from the main selection list. This means repeatedly searching for it or reorganising the interface. For a supposedly premium smart TV, the user interface should feel seamless and intuitive, not unpredictable. Most disappointing of all, despite all the marketing promises, the television itself is very ordinary. The picture quality is fine, but not exceptional. The sound is adequate, but nothing remarkable. There's nothing about the viewing experience that justifies the “top of the range” label or price point. In summary, while the television functions adequately, it falls well short of expectations for a flagship model. Basic usability issues combined with a very average overall performance make it hard to recommend at its premium price.
