So lifelike!

alexg73 November 7, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG 65QNED TV is an amazing TV. Having owned it now for a couple of months it's safe to say it handles all sorts of media amazingly. The set up was easy and there are so many apps that make it easy to access (like Netflix, Amazon Prime etc.). The picture quality is fantastic and lifelike - sometimes it's like the actors are in the room with you! It's been amazing watching Frozen Planet on it! My one and only qualm with this TV is that the stand is not very stable - not a problem if you're going to wall mount it though. Great TV on balance and delighted to have purchased it!

Super bright TV with great colours

waichiuyip December 11, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this TV. Let's not gloss over the fact this is 75 inches and is massive. I've had someone say it looks too big when they first saw it in the living room. But after watching something on it for 10 mins they changed their mind. It's glorious with all sorts of HDR (with Dolby Vision etc) and 4K. This is a mini-LED TV and it will lack the inky black details of an OLED (which costs significantly more as of writing) but it gets so much brighter. There is some blooming of light as the TV controls bright spots against the dark by controlling the mini-LED zones. For me this is actually very well controlled when in use and hard to spot even when looking for it. I would say it is most notable in the menu screens when moving the magic remote pointer, but does this really matter? Sound is decent for a TV but I've been using a soundbar. Back to the remote, it's great and the pointer you can wave and control sort of like a mouse is amazing. Menu is slick and pretty quick with all the apps I need. I've got it on the stand which is very good and will in the future mount this. Overall great TV and very good value vs an OLED and would be a much better match with a bright room as this TV gets eye searingly bright.

LG QNED 65 inch TV

amanda1646 October 3, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far, I am very impressed with the tv picture and sound bar quality. I have yet to watch any sport on the tv, so I am intrigued for that and will post a further review. To set up the tv it was very simple and quick. I wasn't overly happy with the quality of the stand, for such a big tv it seemed quite flimsy and the tv was able to wobble so it didn't seem safe, so it is now firmly mounted on the wall. I Love the remote control. I like that home button brings up a lot of the App icons you would use (our previous LG only allowed 4 or 5 and tgen you would scroll across). The buttons missing from this remote, that was on my previous remote, is the play and pause button, but it didn't take me long to figure out you use the central button for both options, so it is easier, but just not clear that feature is there. All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase and i'm looking forward to watching movies on this big tv :)

Stunning image and sound quality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a happy owner of LG 75" and impressed with the size when unpacking. This is the best TV I have had so far. I love everything about it from the great features to the quality and comfort of watching. Deep colors and great contrast makes everything enjoyable to watch. Super function Picture AI pro makes that sharpness and resolution of the image is adjusted / improved in terms of the content watched. What a great function!!! I love the LG remote control that works like a computer mouse, it makes it very easy to operate, type and browse websites. My favorite features include: Eye Protection Mode especially for my kids and Volume Down Mode when it's late in the evening. Of course the built in Alexa is very helpful when I have my hands full, I just tell her what I want to turn on and it will do it for me. 75" fits perfectly in my living room, the sound quality is impressive and the bass is very clear. Now every movie time that I spend with my family gives us amazing impressions and experiences just like in the cinema. With the new LG, we now spend more time in front of the TV.

Am delighted with it!

AKG2102 October 17, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Am really happy with the quality of this TV. The design is sleek, only a very small bezel around the viewing screen and the stand is sturdy and ergonomic. The picture quality is simply superb with settings available to change the picture quality to suit what you want to watch E.g. sports. Everything about the TV is intuitive, from the remote control to the menus available, I have not had to refer to a manual at all… Highly recommmended!!

As close to OLED as you are going to get!

Anonymous November 15, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 65” is a monster of a set with a beautiful design and thin bezels. It's quite a heavy TV but the included stand holds it securely. The first setup was very straightforward from start to finish, helped by the nifty remote which acts like a pointer making inputting info like the WiFi password a sinch. The LG operating system is very slick and includes all the streaming apps you could ask for, the built-in ‘picture frame' mode really makes the set stand out when it's ‘idle'. The ability to control my SkyQ box from the LG remote is really convenient too. The image on the screen is very bright and vibrant, and LG includes a range of picture modes to suit what you are watching, be it movies, sports or games. The blacks on the screen are as close to OLED as I've seen from an LED TV, making some of the ‘moodier' movies a joy to watch. The built-in speakers are surprisingly good too but do tend to distort if pushed too much. Being my first LG tv, I'd happily recommend this, however just be sure your room is the right size for a 65”, it's much bigger than I imagined but perfect for the room.

Glad we purchased it

Vicij December 12, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We haven't owned a TV for the past 5 years but we decided to switch thing up and purchase one. I've heard good things about LG and I must admit I am impressed. It was easy to set the TV up and connect to accounts. Pro The vivid colours come through Sound is clear and crisp Easy access to Netflix and Amazon and a few others Cons Hard to understand the dashboard (but that could just be because its all new to us)

Stunning Image QUALITY

Omar12 December 29, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 75QNED866QA has new Quantum Dot Nano-Cell technology (QNED for short). Whilst OLEDS are known for being able to show true blacks QNEDs are known for being able to show more accurate and vibrant colours, and the displays tend to last longer. I was greatly impressed with the QNED and found the colours to be as vibrant and visually pleasing as stated. This TV was particularly good for watching sport, and for gaming. Although we did get this TV with a sounder, the native sound more than sufficient with a punchy base. Setting up the TV is easy and can be done using the LG thinQ app for an even more efficient setup. Having used an LG interface before, I had no problems navigating the inbuilt menu, and the magic remote is as fantastic as always. There is a wide selection of apps to chose from I would certainly recommend this LG screen, it's a high quality all-rounder that the whole family enjoy.

Wow What a TV. Best I've owned ever!

RupsP October 16, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Where do I start. This is hands down an amazing and one of the best TVs around. It has an amazing range of ports to connect all your HDMI products. The arc function works seamlessly with sound bars. The App Store is great and has all the apps you would want, Netflix, Disney, Prime Video, Rakuten, Apple+, Spotify were all installed instantly. I love the shortcuts on the remote that allow you to get there with one click. My wife also loves the ability to screen share her workout videos on her phone directly to the TV using Airplay. Overall, well worth the money and without a doubt a recommended purchase.

Good size/PQ/price ratio, mediocre software

matteventu December 20, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG 75" QNED86 TV has a good unboxing experience, with everything labeled clearly and helpful instructions included (important for such a massive TV). The out-of-box experience is better than anticipated, as the TV can be set up using the LG ThinQ phone app to avoid inputting information with the remote. The app has basic functionality, including the ability to switch the TV on and off, change inputs, adjust volume and channels, launch apps, share media files from the phone, mirror the phone's screen and listen to the TV audio on the phone. However, the TV software experience is not as good as Android TV or Google TV and has limited storage, with only 2.28GB available and slightly over 1GB free. Additionally, there are no USB 3.0 ports, only USB 2.0 ports. The TV's CPU is weaker than competing TVs with Android (which have Cortex A73 cores at least), causing YouTube videos to stutter when played at any speeds higher than 1.0x. It is likely using A53/55 cores or even older A7 cores. The app assortment for the TV is good, with most common apps available. I didn't connect the TV to the aerial as I don't watch live TV, but the "tuner" cannot be disabled, leading to constant pop-up messages about missing TV programmes. Additionally, in the home page there are sponsored contents even from apps that are not installed, and ads that cannot be removed, which can be frustrating. Google Assistant integration is unstable and lacks features, and there is no support for Chromecast built-in, further reducing its usefulness. The remote for the TV is convenient, with the ability to use it like a Wii controller to move a pointer on the screen. However, the volume buttons are not well separated from other buttons and are difficult to use in the dark, as the remote is not backlit. The remote is also aesthetically unappealing, unlike competitor's ones. On the positive side, the picture quality of the TV is very good, with the Mini LED backlight helping the LCD panel to provide good colour accuracy and HDR performance. It doesn't offers deep blacks like an OLED, but I don't want an OLED, as OLED TVs inevitably suffer from panel degradation while LCD TVs, including this Mini LED TV, do not - but still manage to offer good blacks thanks to the individual dimming zones. I recommend this TV as, aside a software that could be improved, the picture quality is extremely good. But any TV software would be old in 3-4 years, so that doesn't really matter.
