I just purchased this unit and already love it I just purchased this unit and already love it! I had one just like it before and had to leave it with the sale of my house. back with LG and appreciate how well it cleans the clothes. it's also a very quiet unit just takes care of business. I love the huge capacity and ability to do large items is bedding and rugs and such. no trips to the laundromat for me!

Beautiful machine, quiet , cleans my clothes fine, interactive app. The problem is there is no soak cycle. Who makes a washer without a soak cycle ? When I pause the machine to let it soak it drains,. There should be a warning. Also the top is not flat, it is slanted. Who makes a washer that you can't put things on like your empty basket, or folded clothes that you take out of the dryer. So much money, so much hype and I think it was designed by someone who never did laundry.

The changes made to this LG Washer (WT8600BE) from the older model are useless. The machine is slanted so those with limited countertop space can't use the top to fold clothes because they fall right onto the floor. You have to dial a knob & scroll through many menu items prior to starting every load. You either put your entire bottle of liquid detergent in the large receptacle or dump single-serve amounts into the tub itself & your clothes sit right on top of the detergent. The design is very sparse, & looks cheap.

Horrible. The little spin thing is not strong enough to clean anything. I would be better off spinning it by hand. I’ve uploaded a video for yall to see

We’ve had this washer/gas dryer for just under a year. I wish I would have repaired my 15 year old Bosch dryer instead of buying LG. Washer is ok but the dryer is the worst. It literally takes 3 hours to dry a load of 6 towels. Buyers remorse immediately.

I would be very careful if you buy this machine to make sure that you run the clean cycle regularly and wash something often in hot water. My husband and I learned the hard way. After just a couple years of using the proper amount and kind of detergent and cleaning periodically (maybe every 60 days), the washer is emitting tons of dreadful black flakes we have been working on this for days (trying all sort of remedies) we think we finally have it under control. The design of the impeller is terrible and traps the gunk at a place that is difficult to get to. Until this happened it worked great, was quiet and quick. We learned our lesson as habitual cold water wash people.

Not very satisfied. Quiet as a mouse and that's great, but the agitation for cleaning is awful. Look through the top and you will see clothes moving hardly at all. I should have gotten a washer with a center agitator or better, a front load. Very poor cleaning ability.

Do not buy this washer. It has great features like large capacity and an agitator. BUT it has a cheap chintzy low quality detergent distribution container that breeds mold!! Totally unreasonable for a top loader. This detergent distributor slants back so it retains liquid and you have to remove it to dry it. Plus instructions state you have to remove it to clean it. Try to remove this cheap plastic part!!! You have to force it out of the washer - depress the cheap plastic tab then jiggle the tray - and just as it feels as if it will snap apart - grab it and pull with all your might Horrible. Then clean and scrub and disinfect it then dry it before replacing it in the washer. Normal wash cycle defaults to Hot water. Have to change it each time. HE detergents say to use cold water! And the AI cycle. Who needs it! Complexity for no reason. Just give us a gentle cycle Oh and if you like to fold the dried laundry in a small laundry room - you can't pile it on the washer or the dryer - because LG has the lids slanted and the folded clothes just roll off. Bad bad design overall.

I loved my last LG washer but couldn't fix it, so I considered no other brands. I regret that. I hate this machine! The black glass lid is very difficult to see through. Nothing will stay on the lid because it's slanted. I can't sort or fold clothes, put my laundry basket or anything else on it. Shortening the front doesn't mean the lid couldn't be level. NO SOAK, rinse temp, or functional spin only options. NO delicates, towels or other common cycles. They have to be downloaded; but, only 1 at a time. Turbowash can't be turned off in some cycles & it cuts cycle time to close to or less than a simple rinse & spin cycle. How can it properly wash clothes at that speed? To get close to a true regular cycle I have to add an extra rinse, but that changes the cycle to a deep wash (whatever that means) which is different than a deep fill. Options (like extra rinse) can change the cycle &/or reset default cycle settings (such hot water wash); so, I must remember to double check & remake my changes to temp, spin speed & soil level. Obviously, no typical adult consumers (25+, 50+ years old, women, men, mothers, dads, people who sort their clothes before washing them, etc) tested prototypes before putting it on the market. I do like that the app tells me when a load is done. There's no satisfaction guarantee. I wish LG would take this back and refund my total purchase amount, not replace the washer. I TRULY HATE IT.

Not satisfied. The tub does not adjust the load during this cycle when washing towels or heavy loads. It drains and fills itself with water over and over until caught. I have to manually adjust the load and monitor. This machine is only a few weeks old. BEWARE
