Amazing is pretty much the key word for my purchase of the LG QNED 75". Its been a long time watching a fading, almost broken down 40" tv for years. Now I have this amazing, incredible, stupendous new LG tv I can hardly believe the experience. Its almost dream like to see this beauty in my humble lounge room. The setup was relatively easy. The hand control unit is marvellous with its many simple to access features. The image quality is exceptional with great blacks and clear images even with rapid camera movements in the program camera styles. Being gifted hundreds of free 'LG Channels' to add to the standard Free To Air channels we all have is a great bonus. The speed of the processor is incredible with all manner of apps loading super fast. The sound I set by using the setup wizard is also mind blowing. I can hear every single word on any type of program now unlike the old set which was really difficult to hear soft voices. I got a great price on this TV too via the online store of BuySmarte. Highly recommend this TV in all respects, if you are looking for a far superior remote to the other top brand commonly bought these days.
Great value large screen TV. Got this on sale via LG website where they matched the best price around but then also let me apply a coupon I had. TV is huge and great quality. Is my third LG big screen TV. The new smaller remote is better than some of their previous versions. Faultless really.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Superb performance, beautiful slim smart design, AI picture quality and sound quality is top class. Auto functions and voice command feature is great. Hundreds and thousands range of channels and apps. Internet connectivity and screen mirroring and many more functions. You name it and find it in the TV.
The quality of TV picture is excellent once I tuned it to my specific preference. The out of the box settings did not give a good viewing experience and it took several days of fiddling to get what I liked. That being said, the adjustaments are available which is great. My main fault is with the martketing of the TV as being Mini-Led with Local Dimming, which implies a FALD backlighting system. However, in use it is obviously edge lit and the local dimming feature is horrible in my opinion, so I turned it off. I found that very disappointing.
Lovely TV with good colour and clarity. The sound is a bit tinny and a sound bar will help improve it. The remote is poorly designed as it doesn't have a mute button (but has other buttons for rarely used functions). The voice prompt is a bit miss and go sometimes.
This TV was advertised to have MiniLED backlighting, promising 'Advanced Local Dimming'. This is false and is certainly not the case. This TV appears to be edge-lit, with only 6 horizontal dimming zones and ZERO vertical zones — definitely not advanced — meaning there are ONLY six vertical columns in the TV that turn on and off in dark parts of a scene — terrible compared to the hundreds and even thousands in other TVs of similar caliber. This means the TV provides black levels not nearly as good as advertised and definitely not as expected from a TV that throws the term 'MiniLED' at you. It's a shame, because the TV is great, 4K@120Hz over HDMI 2.1, HDR, good AI upscaling, good OS, but isn't worth the premium over a standard LED with local dimming in my opinion. You should NOT pay a premium for this TV over other LG models unless you want a high display refresh rate.
Bought two of these TVs during the Boxing Day sales — great price, easy to unpack and set up, and the picture looks good during daytime viewing. However, at night or when watching movies with black bars, the limitations become obvious. This definitely isn't mini‑LED like some other brands; it uses edge‑lit LEDs in six distinct bands. There's noticeable light bleed around the edges, which is really distracting and feels like something you'd expect from a TV a decade ago, not in 2025. Pretty disappointed overall. They technically work “as normal”, so returning them isn't an option, but it's definitely something you only pick up once you see it in person.
This is the fourth 65" tv we have brought over the years. First being a LG I am genuinely shocked at how distorted the sound is. It is the first ever time we have had to purchase a sound bar. We didn't factor this into our budget when buying the tv. You can barely make out the words being said on all tv and movies. It's incredibly muffled. Even when the tv is loud you can't hear clearly. We have had to watch with subtitles to make out conversations. The TV has an AI feature that is supposed to adapt the sound to your room. Our experience is that this results in even less quality sound. It's incredibly echoy and sounds like a tv you'd watch in a cheap hotel room.
LG are a bunch of liars this tv is edge lit it is not a true led tv this tv actually uses a nano cell panel with plenty of light bleeding on black backgrounds so blacks actually look washed out and grey LG knows this is a common problem but tells customers this is a normal function
I bought the TV in November 2025, and it broke in January 2026. Since then, getting a replacement has been a nightmare because they haven't given me a straight answer. The TV was repaired by the manufacturer, but it still didn't work, and now they want to repair it again. I don't want it repaired because I bought a new TV.
