LG OLED65G5WUA 65" 4K UHD OLED evo G5 Smart TV

The picture quality is simply incredible, with stunning brightness, deep blacks, and amazingly vivid colours that make every film, sport, and game feel incredibly lifelike. The detail and clarity are on another level, and the smooth performance makes watching anything a real experience. Easily one of the best TVs I've ever owned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After spending some time with the LG G5… honestly, this TV is ridiculous. The picture quality is incredible. Super bright for an OLED, amazing contrast, and colours look much more natural and cinematic than my previous Samsung S90D. Everything just has more depth and realism instead of that overprocessed “wow” effect. Gaming and movies both look stunning, and paired with the Q990D it feels properly premium. Now the honest bit: There is some visible dithering / faint diagonal noise in very dark scenes or bad quality content if you look closely. Apparently it's a common WOLED thing rather than a fault, but worth mentioning because once you notice it, you notice it. That said… with normal content I barely see it anymore because the TV overall just looks that good. No TV is perfect, but the G5 is easily the best TV I've owned so far. 🥰

Watched The Masters Golf and the TV colour and resolution was splendid and developed an atmosphere which made one feel that I was there on the course with the players. Also viewed the snooker championship at the Crucible Sheffield which was a treat to watch on this TV the brightness and contrast near perfect. Looking forward to the Wimbledon tennis where the TV's definition will make it a special treat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Brilliant tv for those of us with failing eyesight. Easy to operate even before the tutorial. It connects to phone and tablet easily unlike previous models I've had. Gives lots of choice for settings, especially sound which is useful when watching something where the voice needs to be clearer. The only thing I don't like is the chat bot, it's too familiar off the bat and prying in its questions. It just creeped me out, but that's a personal taste I suppose.

I had the E6 and this is on the same level if not better of being the high end tv on a modest to high end budget. If only the new LG sound system was affordable this would be the perfect home cinema set up. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great picture and generally top end. I question whether all the variables are easy enough to understand and select when required. Early start up issues and major loss from LG I bought 8 years back as recent models do not support HDMI ARC + Optical sound out. Using hearing aid box became very, very challenging and LG did not reply to my enquiry!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No way to switch off screen saver. It will ask you to connect to the internet from time to time or recommend some rubbish. I switched off what i could in settings but still it will wake you up by blasting screen saver at 3 AM. Other than that it is a good, very bright screen with nice colours and OK refresh rate.

Try one , while touching the next ( inevitable ) and start from the beginning. Hundreds of messages pop on the screen and staying for a minute,” eating “the screen. Very complicated to browse on the features. Ai as usual bland information hub ,no variations that makes it useless most of the time.

Bought this to replace an LG OLED55E9P and although this one has a better "spec" I find the panel too garish (oversaturated colours) I don't like the ir receiver which sticks out at the bottom like an afterthought, and I REALLY don't like the new menus layout - so much of it is counter intuitive compared to the older version. For example if I want to tun on subtitles I have to press the up/down button at least Nineteen times! Also the remote is definitely not as good as the previous one - there are no pause/play buttons for a start - and the TV guide button is in a more awkward place. So, It's abetter TV - but also not as carefully thought out as previous models (in my opinion).
