Upscales Low Quality Streamed Video Well

Reagan December 30, 2024

Out of the box the picture was not great using a Roku as the video source. However, a quick trip to the internet to find out what picture settings needed to be changed to make 1080p streaming look like 4k and Bob's your uncle. Ready for some football.

Great video, minimal docs

Eddie April 4, 2025

Beautiful colors and graphics in the videos on this LG TV. I wish I had known the OLED technology suffers from the same “burn-in” display issue as the old CRTs. The TV has built-in software to change the screen and minimize the problem but don't expect to leave a scene displayed on the TV for a long time. I would like to have a user guide that explains the functions, however I have only found an installation guide that does not cover the webOS software or LG “channels.”

This OLED TV punches above its level

John December 28, 2024

This was my first OLED TV and I was nervous about it. Let me tell you though, there's nothing to fear, and this TV is a steal at this price! The two big things I read again and again about OLED TVs was that the picture can be too dim, and colors can be less than vibrant. I don't know what all these professional reviewers have been smoking, but this TV makes my old 1080p HD TV look like a hot mess in comparison. The brightness is set to a middle-of-the-road setting and frankly is almost too bright! A sunny day is no match for this thing. As for colors, primary colors like red and green explode off the screen. I can't fathom how anybody could ever say this OLED TV is not vibrant enough. And again, this is a mid-tier setting. There's actually a vibrant setting that will melt your eyeballs. Another common complaint I read about flat screens in general is that the audio is terrible and you MUST get a soundbar. They are dead wrong. Now, I don't have it wall-mounted, but the AI-supported sound is INSANE. Deep base and 3-D stereo effects are the norm, not the exception with this TV. I feel like an audio bar would be a massive waste of money. I'm glad I waited to hear for myself before buying one. The controller is neat. You can use the directional buttons to surf menus, or you can activate the "magic" feature which is basically like a wireless mouse with a pointer. Those complaining about not knowing how the controller works or what buttons do obviously skipped over the detailed instructions that come with the TV explaining all of the features. Read your manuals, people! Finally, I can't say much about internet connectivity and related features. We have a cheap laptop that we connect to the TV for streaming purposes, so connecting to the internet is not necessary. I WILL say that the TV was a lot more accepting of skipping the internet connection than I thought it would be, and it functions just fine without it. Bottom line: This TV is absolutely amazing. Any issues that people are having with it mostly come down to human error and not reading the instructions. Properly set up, with proper cables and audio-video sources will produce a picture and sound that will blow your mind. And at this price point? You're a fool not to buy it. I highly recommend it.

Great TV. Excellent blacks show up even at night. Super lightweight and using to mount. My mother liked it so much at our house that she went and bought the exact same one.
