Seems like a good dryer so far. Quiet and efficient. I wish there was a way to do an automatic fluff though.
I'm really happy with my new LG dryer. Why? Well it's very well-made. It has a lot of nice easy to use features too. You really just have to push the on button set the spin dial push the start button and your clothes are dry. It figures everything else automatically Really goes well with the companion washer because they're both designed to work together and they look great side-by-side. I really want to give this dryer six stars if I could. This is a great Christmas present for our whole family. Any family member can work these washers and dryers. Love LG products.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced a 20-year-old Maytag Neptune on its last legs (still worked but was very loud) with this unit. It is a top-rated consumer reports model, and we see why. While not compatible with the ThinQ app, it is easy to run and very quiet. The unit came from Lowe's, and the delivery company they use had the old unit out and the new one set up and running in ten minutes. LG was not able to answer my delivery questions, or I might have ordered the unit directly from LG to take advantage of a credit card promotion.
I bought this in December 2022 and have enjoyed the 'filter alert' that told me the vent system in my house needed to be cleaned. It also will alert you when the filter in the front of the dryer needs cleaning. This has simple electronic controls that do NOT include WiFi. It dries my Laundry-what else does one really need?
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've just had this dryer with the matching WM3400CW washer for a couple of weeks. So far we like them very much but there's an issue that needs to be mentioned. We have these stacked to fit in our laundry room. They replaced old Whirlpool machines. Due to the larger capacity and size of the LG machines, when they're stacked, the control buttons and digital panel for the dryer is 6 ft. 3 in. from the floor. For us, we are fairly tall, this is a minor inconvenience but for others that are shorter, it may be a major inconvenience.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very efficient dryer. Using the sensor dry option, large loads dry more quickly in this dryer than any of the others I have owned. I like how it remembers the last cycle settings. The energy saver feature is a plus that I really like and use often. The tune it plays at the end is pleasing. There is no drum light and I do miss that feature, but I can manage without it. However, that pesky flap that the filter has to push through is bothersome. This dryer would be almost perfect if it weren't for that flap. When removing the filter, some lint gets pulled off by the flap and falls to the bottom of the trap. When the filter is reinserted that lint gets compacted and eventually causes the filter not to seat properly in the housing. Clothes get caught on the unseated filter causing them to twist and tear. It is impossible to remove the compacted lint without disassembling the filter housing. Is the flap really necessary?
It is a nice size dryer; not too big nor too small. I knew it didn't have an interior light and was willing to forego that feature to get a dryer like my previous LG dryer. The lint trap is a thing though. It pulls lint off clothes nicely, but the trap is always over flowing and stuck to the bottom of the door when opening. I clean the lint filter after every load, and sometimes in the middle of the load contemplating that it will be over flowing. The end of cycle signal chimes before the Wrinkle Guard kicks in. I guess that makes sense, but it is different than previous models of same dryer. I did find the Energy Saver, default setting on Normal Dry, is a big flop: it takes longer and my clothes will not be dry. I would not want that on a future dryer. Other than that, it is very quiet and, overall, I like it a lot. I wanted it to be more like my LG that I had for the last 16 years, but it's not even close. However, I would buy it again if I still couldn't find one close to the one previously mentioned.
Does not dry well at all. Clothes still damp after multiple cycles. (Dryer vent line is new, short and clear) Controls are difficult to use and limit drying options. Owners manual does not have clear, detailed instructions. Web site offers little more. Description claims to be 7 cu ft. Drum is smaller that our previous dryer, and cannot load as much. Very disappointed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The worst dryer I've ever owned! It can barely complete a cycle without stopping and having to clear out the dryer vent. Over a three year period we had to replace the heating element twice steer clear of this piece of junk.
I find the Pre-set settings useless. Sensor dry seems to only work on “very dry”even for lightweight clothing. No “low”heat setting available for “permanent press! Wish I'd kept my 25yr old dryer.
