LG 77" OLED: The Ultimate Viewing Experience

William December 30, 2024

I recently upgraded to the LG OLED TV, and it has completely transformed my home entertainment setup. This TV is a true game-changer when it comes to picture quality, performance, and overall value. Here's my in-depth review after a few weeks of use. Stunning Picture Quality The standout feature of the LG OLED is its incredible picture quality. OLED technology delivers deep, true blacks, vibrant colors, and sharp contrast, and this TV brings all of that to life in the most breathtaking way. The 4K UHD resolution ensures every detail is crisp and clear, whether you're watching movies, sports, or gaming. The OLED pixels emit their own light, meaning you get perfect black levels and an infinite contrast ratio. This is particularly noticeable in dark scenes where traditional LED TVs might struggle with shadow detail. Watching high-definition content or 4K movies on this TV is nothing short of mesmerizing, and the colors pop in a way I've never seen before. Size and Design At 65, 77, and 85 inches, this TV makes a bold statement in any room. It's the perfect size for a large living room or home theater setup. The sleek, modern design fits seamlessly into my entertainment space, and the ultra-thin bezel maximizes the screen size without distractions. It's incredibly thin overall, making it look like a piece of art mounted on the wall. It would be better if they put handles on the back of these bigger screens The stand is minimalistic but sturdy, and the TV feels solid, not cheap. The wall-mountable design is a great option if you want to create a more streamlined look. Gaming Performance As a gamer, I'm always looking for a TV that can handle fast action without motion blur or lag, and the LG OLED delivers perfectly. With HDMI 2.1 support, VRR (Variable Refresh Rate), and NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility, this TV is a dream for console gamers, especially if you're using the latest PlayStation or Xbox. The response time is practically instantaneous, and the picture quality is stunning, making this a great choice for gaming. Price and Value This TV is definitely a pricey TV, but considering the size, picture quality, and the OLED technology you're getting, it offers great value for anyone serious about upgrading their home entertainment. While it's not the cheapest option on the market, the quality you get makes it worth the premium price. I got mine on black Friday with $400 off the going price. Final Thoughts The LG 77" OLED TV has surpassed all my expectations. With its jaw-dropping picture quality, sleek design, and a feature-packed smart interface, this TV is an excellent choice for anyone looking to take their viewing experience to the next level. Whether you're watching movies, gaming, or simply enjoying your favorite shows, this TV offers a premium experience like no other.

Vibrant colors and an amazing picture!

Strychnine January 4, 2023

Fantastic upgrade! Our older LG T.V. was outdated and the picture had started to go. It lasted for over 14 years, so we got our money's worth and then some. We had shopped around for other brands, but LG fit the bill again! Best set for us hands down!

Loving my new TV

Deryni January 5, 2023

Upgraded from a 42" 10-year-old plasma to this new 55" and it's a huge upgrade. Even the content from Dish (which is 1080p and both TVs can handle it) is so much better on the new LG. And the 4k streaming with my new sound system - I'm a happy man!

Picture Perfection!

JMalone81 January 2, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this television December 20, 2022. I have followed the LG brand for many years. I researched this set during it introduction ar the CES and knew I just had to have one. The picture is perfect and bright and the colors are vibrant and the sound is perfect with or without a sound bar. Set up was easy and the features easy to understand. LG will always be my number one choice for all my entertainment needs. Bring on 2023!

Great gaming TV

LegaceZ January 4, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this tv to play next gen consoles and have surround sound. All of my needs were reached and then some. Tv is easy to set up and the features are great. Comes out of the box pretty close to bring calibrated. Just make sure to turn off the energy saving feature for the brightest display.

Incredible gaming display

willisevrywhr January 2, 2023

I bought this after seeing recommendations that this was one the the best displays for the Xbox Series X. Coming from an competitors older 1080p TN monitor all I can say if wow! I'm very pleased it supports 4k 120hz as well as VRR and HDR/DV. Gaming with these new technologies and with the OLED panel is like a generational leap. It is so incredibly immersive!

Wrong item

John January 20, 2025

We received the wrong item. They message saying that they did not even have the item I wanted to purchase. So they sent me a different item without even letting me know. They never offered any sort of discount or anything that would correct the situation. We paid a lot of money for this item and nothing was done about it
