LG ADFD5448AT 24 inch 48dBA Stainless Front Control Dishwasher with QuadWash

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was turned on to LG with fact that three of the salespeople have them in their own homes. Also, since had a problem on install with tile floor put in after old dishwasher was installed and granite countertops on top, had severe height issues. Got the old finally out and found that LG has an ADA dishwasher that is slightly shorter and fit perfectly. Now installed and can only comment on how it performs - wonderfully!! Wife cooked a roast, and the pan was terrible, but it came out of the dishwasher wonderfully clean with NO scrubbing. And all the glasses now sparkle as well. Very pleased with everything. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Due to a restricted counter height, I was limited in my choices for a dishwasher and during these pandemic times, there are shortages and long lead times. I feel fortunate to have found and purchased this LG model. Thus far, the dishwasher does a fantastic job, leaving our dishes and cookware clean, shiny, and dry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good, but a bit disappointed in missing features. I purchased an LG dishwasher because of the Wi-Fi capability. As a blind user, I had hoped to be able to control the dishwasher with my iPhone. I can only check what my settings are. The unit does its job, but is noisier than I would like. I wanted the larger model with more options, but was mistakenly told that that larger unit wouldn't fit. When the installer installed the unit, he told he the larger unit would have fit just fine. I had received incorrect information from the company who came to take measurements to see if I could use the larger model. The LGThinQ app is totally accessible by a blind user, but doesn't allow for one to select the cycles from the phone. I don't know whether a different model would have allowed for this. I also found that one could change the music on some LG appliances, but not on my model. Having this would have been a neat feature. Placing bump dots on the front of the unit just above the lights at least allows me to find and select the desired cycle. Had I not been given incorrect information as to whether the 34 inch models would have worked just fine, I would have bought one with more features hoping that I could have controlled it with my Iphone. I will say that if a blind user places bump dots on the front of the dishwasher, just above the lights, the unit is totally accessible. And the accessibility of the ThinQ app makes it easy to make sure that one has selected the desired settings. Every feature of the ThinQ app is completely accessible for a voiceover user. If there is no unit that a blind user can completely control from an iPhone, I would whole-heartedly recommend this dishwasher for a visually impaired user. It would be great if LG could have placed tactile dots above each light for easy cycle identification so that bump dots wouldn't have been necessary. I'd also like to see a firmware update allowing us to change the music as with the higher priced models. Also, would it be possible through firmware to allow this model to be controlled with an iPhone?

I bought this model about 22 April 2022 because it was the only one I could find which would fit under the counter. Do far I have been satisfied with it. However, I shall suggest one improvement. The handle for the flatware basket takes a very long time to dry because it is flat and water will not run off it it. I suggest changing the shape so that water will run off of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a decent dishwasher but I'm wishing I had spent more and gotten a better one. I downgraded from a Kitchen Aid when I moved, and the LG seems so much smaller inside. The LG is very noisy. It might be quieter if it had insulation around it or something to muffle the sound.

I love the sleek style but the rack design is not ideal. The upper rack prongs are on an angle allowing loading of only small side dish bowls and small plates; you can only place a couple cereal bowls because the racks tilt the bowls too far - wastes a lot of space. Also the square silverware carrier uses a lot of space and blocks usage; a long rectangle positioned on the side or in the door would have been much more effective.

Extremely small Capacity- disappointing. Also rather noisy. I had a normal size DW with 3 trays and lots of space. But I ordered this model only because it is less tall. (My floor was added after the cabinets and made the opening barely 34" high.) But wow- this is like micro size compared to normal. Do not buy it unless you must have an ADA and you are a one person household.

I bought this for my mother-in-law and it has been nothing but frustrating. When swiping the start button sometimes the dishwasher starts right away, sometimes it starts after swiping several times, sometimes it doesn't start at all. I thought maybe it was user error on my mother-in-law's part but when I visit it does the exact same thing. I need a dishwasher that starts!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My experience to date has been most unsatisfactory. I purchased the dishwasher on 9/1/22. It was delivered 9/28/22 and has been sitting in the packing box in the middle of my kitchen ever since because I have not found an authorized technician to install it. I was advised to check with retailers. They don't install what they did not sell.

Waited 90 days for a damaged dishwasher that never made it's way inside. Waited another 90 days for a defective dishwasher that leaks. Now waiting another 90 days for a replacement. Really unacceptable to get it in December when it was purchased in February.
