Seems like a good dryer so far. Quiet and efficient. I wish there was a way to do an automatic fluff though.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced a 20-year-old Maytag Neptune on its last legs (still worked but was very loud) with this unit. It is a top-rated consumer reports model, and we see why. While not compatible with the ThinQ app, it is easy to run and very quiet. The unit came from Lowe's, and the delivery company they use had the old unit out and the new one set up and running in ten minutes. LG was not able to answer my delivery questions, or I might have ordered the unit directly from LG to take advantage of a credit card promotion.
I bought this in December 2022 and have enjoyed the 'filter alert' that told me the vent system in my house needed to be cleaned. It also will alert you when the filter in the front of the dryer needs cleaning. This has simple electronic controls that do NOT include WiFi. It dries my Laundry-what else does one really need?
I first purchased this product 2 years ago when I remodeled my home. I recently moved into a brand new build and needed a washer and dryer and I bought this again! It has been the best dryer I have ever had! Would highly recommend this to everyone!
I've used this dryer for about 2 weeks now and it works great. It's my second LG dryer and I am overall happy with their products. Delivery went smoothly and I got the dryer 8 days sooner than expected.
Excellent product. This will be my 3rd purchase of LG Washers and Dryers. Served me well. I pass the used ones down to my kids. They are still working well.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very efficient dryer. Using the sensor dry option, large loads dry more quickly in this dryer than any of the others I have owned. I like how it remembers the last cycle settings. The energy saver feature is a plus that I really like and use often. The tune it plays at the end is pleasing. There is no drum light and I do miss that feature, but I can manage without it. However, that pesky flap that the filter has to push through is bothersome. This dryer would be almost perfect if it weren't for that flap. When removing the filter, some lint gets pulled off by the flap and falls to the bottom of the trap. When the filter is reinserted that lint gets compacted and eventually causes the filter not to seat properly in the housing. Clothes get caught on the unseated filter causing them to twist and tear. It is impossible to remove the compacted lint without disassembling the filter housing. Is the flap really necessary?
I would NOT recommend this dryer for anyone who lives in an apartment or other place where the noise would bother anyone. The dryer dries quite well, though I have to manually set it for "maximum dry" every time (why can't it remember that for me??), but it makes an awful noise that echos through the floor to the adjacent downstairs apartment: the drum has a bad weld on its seam, and each time that passes over the rollers it makes a thumping noise. LG sent a tech to help, but despite taking the machine apart he couldn't fix it (would not replace the drum with one that had no bad seam). Not all LG dryers have this fault .. my daughter's same model is silent, for example, and I'm very disappointed that LG won't fix mine .. pathetic warranty service!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The worst dryer I've ever owned! It can barely complete a cycle without stopping and having to clear out the dryer vent. Over a three year period we had to replace the heating element twice steer clear of this piece of junk.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This LG washing machine leaks, and the door appears to 12 come open when the machine is washing and spinning
