This was a replacement for a 14 year old unit and I was intimidated by the fancy new features but find them to be intuitive and easy to learn. On top of that the dryer performs well. My favorite features are the door that opens vertically and horizontally and the ability to talk to the washer to sync what settings to use.
Our 10+ year dryer had finally stopped working but even before then I wanted to upgrade to a dryer that was quieter and more efficient than what we currently had. So happy with the features and noise level of the dryer. A big item I wanted was a quieter door when opening an closing. It is so much quieter than what we had and the door opens two ways which is a nice feature. The amount of time to dry clothes is cut in half from our older dryer. A super nice feature was the Flow Sense which advises if it detects blockage in the exhaust vent. I had cleaned out the vent before the dryer arrived or so I thought. Flow Sense after its first cycle gave me the code that it detected an 80% blockage. I cleaned out the vent to discover I actually was not cleaning far enough into the vent and indeed there was a lot more lint to remove. After cleaning correctly the second time Flow Sense was no longer warning of any blockage. This probably saved me a headache down the road. As mentioned I did receive the dryer from the retail location purchased but it wasn't visible to us for the first couple of weeks as it was right under the door. Despite the blemish I still opted to keep the dryer as I really liked how well it was functioning.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave the purchase 5 stars for the quality built into this dryer. We purchased the upper grade washer with this also and have absolutely no negative feedback. This purchased replaced an older LG dual which gave us no problems and since the older 13 yr old set was still operating without fault we gave them to the young family next door. We also replaced our refrigerator with another LG long lived unit which is serving us downstairs now in our shop. Thank you for what you do LG. This family appreciates all the assistance these products provide in our lives.
I like my LG Dryer especially the dual door. I mainly use Speed Dry. When I use Normal Dry it takes 2 to 3 full cycles to dry my clothes. I’ve had this product about 2 months and still haven’t figured out all of the features. I plan to get the matching washer when my old one goes out
I purchased this dryer and washer set to replace another LG set. I have been very pleased with the LG brand, thus my repeat purchase of the same brand. The extra large capacity is an additional feature that is extremely accommodating for my family. The style and appearance and the gray color is it very attractive. I would recommend you purchase it.
Overall have been very happy with this machine. It dries the clothes thoroughly, has the option to use very high or low heat, and I can just use a timer setting as well. I love the light on the inside and how the door can be opened 2 different ways. Overall very pleased with my purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve run about 10 loads through this dryer. There’s one thing I really like. That being the WiFi. It keeps track of everything. Tells you when your cloths are dry. Gives you breakdown on electrical use. Tells you when to clean the filter. Light comes on after the load is done. So much more. What I don’t like. The door, its loud. Sounds terrible when you open and close it. Sounds cheap. Cloth’s are not always dry when normal cycle is used. Not wet, not dry, warm not hot. This could be an energy saving thing. I’ll need to figure that one out. Over all, I like it. Just don’t love it!
Constant d80 and d95 errors even though the vent system isn’t blocked. LG wants me to pay out of pocket to have the house vents checked (the house is 6 months old) before they will send a tech to have it checked. I can’t finish a single load without the error and resetting and starting again. I would NEVER buy this set again
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased dryer in November 2023 and have had nothing but problems. First several delays in delivery. Then clothes were not dried after an hour of drying. After 3 weeks the dryer vent transition fell off and I had to call and pay my repairperson to repair. Still works sometimes and stops working other times. If I dry small loads of less than 5 items it seems to work - otherwise clicks off. Have to reset electrical panel and pray that it might work again. Very frustrating and not happy.
Well two days after using it , it started to make terrible rattling noises call service and they put foam under the blower assembly to stop it from bouncing against the bottom plate not exactly excited that our new dryer was defective right out of the box but it dries well
