LG DLGX5501W front load gas dryer

Bought this as a companion piece to the WM5500HVA washing machine. It has a HUGE capacity at 7.4 cubic feet, while have the dimensions of a much smaller machine, making it fit perfectly in our tight laundry room space. Lot's of great features including AI drying. Will lengthen or shorten the drying time depending on the dampness of the load. It also has a steam function which is so great. No more throwing ice cubes in the dryer when I want to take the wrinkles out of my dress shirts. Very happy with this purhcase.

I orderd my dryer from the LG web site. I was anxious because I wasnt sure how smooth it would go. As it turned out- evrything went well, even when I needed to change the delivery and installation date. Also, I researched and learned that I got a better price ordering directly from LG. I had a complicated install with it being a stacked unit and installed in a smaller, yet adaquate laundry closet. The installers were excellent and gained my full confidence. The paired units are awesome. The controls are user friendly and I love how quiet the machines run. I could not more satisfied and happy. Thank you LG!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this dryer 6 months ago and I can't be happier. The steam feature helps remove wrinkles from clothing after being taken out of storage for the winter. All my clothes are dried beautifully. I purchased the pedestal and so glad I did... no bending over to remove items from the drum.

The install was tricky as it is a tight space, but we had issues with moisture dripping out of the dryer and the hook up on the washer is backwards. They use a local company for service and they are the worst. These issues were never resolved.

Dryer stopped working at 1 year. Like many have said control panes issues. Same price after 2 repairs than to replace with a new one. Sadly, I would not suggest this dryer to anyone.

All cycles, including Permanent Press, create a LOT of wrinkles. Contacted LG support who says the wrinkles are caused by "user error". I've tried every cycle on the dryer, removed clothing immediately at end of cycle. I do not recommend this dryer. Consumer Reports recommends this dryer and says "This model had no discernible flaws in its performance."

If I could give it zero stars, I would. The machine consistently reported erroneous blocked duct errors. After 6 months, two re-installations and three service repairs, it did not successfully dry a single load.

Dryer cannot exhaust hot air out vents that run up to the roof. Requires additional purchase and installation of exhaust fan. Terrible that LG can't build a dryer capable of handling this and even worse they don't disclose it to buyers ahead of time.

Pros: Much quieter than our prior dryer. Lots of options/functionality and the app works pretty well. Nice appearance--I like the look. Cons: Very disappointed in steam function--steam function leaves clothes completely soaked. It was one of the reasons we bought this model and we are really angry that this doesn't work as advertised. Potential quality issues? Our drum is already squeaking (but that may have been caused by the repair person trying to fix the steam function). No delay start function?

Extremely unhappy. Due to LG's wrong installation, I cannot use the dryer.
