[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great dryer. Quiet compared to our old electric. Fewer tinkles and hardly noticeable increase in drying time. Nice not seeing our electric meter spinning like a windmill.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it so far, enjoying the features, still learning, little slower than old dryer but so far so good.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will admit that I was apprehensive to change from a vented dryer to a ventless dryer, but I am so glad I did. It is very easy to maneuver, and I think that with the savings from not having to clean out my vent annually, this dryer will pay for itself is 3 years. It is also quiet, compared to my older model. Very very pleased.
I've been extremely happy with the dryer. Cleaning the lint is easy. It works fast - everything dried well under 2 hours. Power consumption seems very reasonable. I've had zero issues with the product so far. Hope it stays that way.
We moved into a condo with this dryer pre installed because its ventless. It was pretty much new. It worked fine at first but then like others have complained, it got worse and worse at drying over time and needed multiple cycles for many hours to dry one load of wash. Maybe I'm an idiot but I did not realize there are TWO lint filters in this dryer, the normal one that pulls out and then another inner lint filter in the same spot but deeper down, which doesn't look like it comes out but actually does. The inner lint filter was totally clogged. Cleaning it with water made this dryer operate like new again and within 1.5 hrs it dried a full load of laundry with no issue! I realized the manual does actually say you need to clean the inner filter but never read it fully. They really should add some indication in the lint filter area with arrows or even red colored plastic to alert you there are two you need to clean! Now that we know this, it's MUCH better than competing Bosch vent free dryers we have had in past homes. This LG model is quieter, doesn't emit as much heat into the room, and generally dries better when the filters are clean.
Dries poorly compared to gas dryers even when new and operating with all filters clean, water tank empty, and "Energy Saver" off. Its companion washer performs poorly compared even to a base model LG washer that is 10 years older, failing to get clothing as clean and free of odor as one would want. The fundamental design of these units is simply bad. They are ineffective and waste time and energy.
Although the dryer itself works great. I received it with a broken tab on the door. Dealing with the help desk was a nightmare. They never once returned my calls, nor did they find a local service tech to help with the problem. I had to do all the research myself, and call the, not so local, service tech for support.
Dryer takes forever to dry. Sometimes loads run for five hours without fully drying. Honestly, would never buy this again and may have to replace at greater cost because of the lack of transparency on how poorly this model dries clothing or towels.
Horrible product. 1 bath towel, 1 washcloth and 2 hand towels took 5 hours to wash/dry and were still wet. Yes, I ran it properly. That's only one example. Was able to return for HD credit. This is complete trash. If you buy it, it's your own fault if you don't return it in time
DO NOT BUY! It will stop working properly within a few months. It's a high-maintenance machine, and all the agents will say to "help" is that it may be this because you are not doing that. Others have commented on a manufacturing issue with this machine, including condensation in the lint catcher that must be dry to work properly. The price tag, high maintenance, and lag of help on issues are not worth the price you will pay for your time, effort, and waste of money.
