This is one of the best laptops I've owned. Very lightweight and thin, but also has enough power for photo and video editing as well as gaming on the go. Whenever I throw it in my bag, I can hardly feel the difference. The 16” display is large enough to have a large workspace without being overly bulky. The colors are vibrant and everything looks smooth and sharp. The speakers sound great for whenever I'm watching movies, editing, or gaming without headphones. I work with a lot of large video and photo files and the combination of the Ultra 9 processor, RTX5050, and 32GB of RAM let me easily handle editing and rendering without it slowing down the computer. All of the games that I've played so far have let me run at max settings without seeing a noticeable drop in fps. This is a huge plus for whenever I want to game when I am traveling or stuck at the airport. They also include a USBC to Ethernet adapter in the box which is great for when I need to hardwire an internet connection. If you're looking for an ultra portable gaming/heavy duty machine, this would be it!

I'm happy I got the chance to test it before deciding to buy a new laptop like the M4 MacBook. I currently use two laptops: a MacBook Pro for work and an HP Omen for gaming. The main reason I've been wanting a new one is that both are quite heavy to carry around. Even when I bring a portable monitor, the overall weight makes it hard to go far. But after trying this laptop, I'm very satisfied with how it performs for both work and gaming. The weight is especially impressive—it's much lighter than my other laptops, which makes it easy to take to nearby parks or cafes. Oh, and the sound quality is surprisingly good too. I wouldn't say it's the top gaming laptop out there, but I can definitely say it's a very useful one for gaming. I also played Diablo 4 on it, and it ran smoothly even on full performance settings.

I've been waiting for this laptop since I saw the release version at CES 2025. It's the lightest laptop with the best processor gpu combo that I've seen on the market. Still have to check battery life, but if it compares to the current lg grams it'll be great. Had a discussion with one of the engineers on the product(CES 2025) and was very impressed with the design considerations that went into the system such as the heat dissipation which is a huge issue with other rtx 50 series laptops. For those looking for this from a graphics perspective I had a laptop with a 1060 6gb GDDR5 of storage throughout undergrad and was able to run smoothly solidworks, creo, complex MATLAB sims, and train nn models. Overall just really excited that it's being released!!!

The LG Gram with the Intel Core Ultra 9 and RTX 5050 has been perfect for my setup. It's super compact and fits nicely on my desk without taking up much space. Gaming performance has been great! it runs everything I play really smoothly and meets all my needs. It's light, fast, and just does the job without any fuss. Honestly, it's exactly what I was looking for in a laptop.

I am a LG employee and I received a sample of the LG gram to try. This is my honest review of the product. All opinions expressed in this post are personal and should not be attributed to LG. I didn't think a 17-inch laptop could feel this light, but the Gram proved me wrong. Coming from a Lenovo Legion that weighs over five pounds and feels like a small brick, the LG Gram 17Z90TR was a shock. The Legion was never fun to carry around due to its size and weight. I couldn't imagine bringing it when traveling. The 17Z90TR, on the other hand, is ridiculously light and thin for a 17-inch laptop. I tossed it in my bag and walked to a friend's place with no sore shoulders, no bulky charger weighing me down. It's great to just grab and go. Once I fired it up for some gaming, I was actually impressed. The large display made everything look sharp and clean, and the high refresh rate kept gameplay smooth. I was satisfied with the RTX 5050 it ran light or heavy games without stutter, which I honestly didn't expect from something this light and thin. It's powerful enough to game on but still feels like an ultra-portable. With most gaming laptops, you trade portability for performance. You either carry a brick or settle for weak graphics. The 17Z90TR somehow pulls off both. The price is still on the higher side, but considering the portability and specs, I'd still lean toward picking the Gram over bulkier and heavier options.

Overall, a good laptop exceptionally light and a very bright screen. Keyboard is a little clicky for my liking compared to my previous past laptops but ok. The inclusion of laptop sleeve and a stand is a nice touch. Areas that let it down are the lack of memory card slot, but the most of disappointing point is that the claimed battery life of 22 hours is grossly over estimated, 6 to 8 hours when using Wi-Fi and file transfer is the best I have achieved.

I have had an LG Gram for about 2.5 years, and after a full charge, the battery lasts only about 3 hours before I have to recharge it again. I also have problems with its keyboard. After shutting down the laptop, the keyboard doesn't work until I restart it. For the price of this laptop, I should get better performance and battery life.

I was very happy to receive my new LG Gram 17 but unfortunately, it has been malfunctioning right from the outset.

Unfortunately it has an issue we can't solve. Reached out to LG support, they concluded we already did all the fixes available so it must have a hardware issue. I'll try to return it, I hope it goes smoothly. It's already an inconvenience setting up a new laptop again.
