We have been using this dishwasher for a few months now and it's been working great. We were amazed how much cleaner everything seemed to be. Silverware holder is great has it holds them separated as to where they don't all stack together. Adjustable middle rack is great for washing cutting boards and taller items in the lower rack. Runs very quiet. Lots of washing options that we still haven't figured out yet.
We have had our LG dishwasher for exactly one year. It performs the wash cycles as selected. Dishes and pots come out extremely clean. Quality of this product is excellent and the styling is traditional which is exactly what we wanted. I would recommend LG if you are considering a new dishwasher.
This is one of THE best dishwashers I've ever had and am so very pleased with it that one of my sons went out day before yesterday and told him and wife to purchase this very same one and they did.
I have had this dishwasher for about a month now after being dishwasher-less for several years. It is wonderful to have a working dishwasher again. Love the third tray on top for silverware. Very roomy for all kinds of dishes, glasses, pots, etc. Love it!
I bought this almost a month ago and I absolutely love it. I've never owned LG appliances before but as of right now I will never use anything else. This dishwasher is easy to use, has some really neat features, cleans, and dries my dishes better than any dishwasher I've ever used. It's super quiet, you hardly even notice it's on.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's takes long time to run normal cycle. Some days we do not have enough dishes to run the dishwasher so we left it slighty dirty dishes in dishwasher until it fill up to run. If we left it more than 2 days it start smelling bad when we open the dishwasher door. This was not happening to our previous dishwasher.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought dishwasher in August and hasn't worked since. You sent someone to fix it and he didn't fix it. I've been hand doing dishes for over 5 month
I purchased the LG LDTS5552S dishwasher and have experienced a persistent chemical odor since the beginning of ownership. The smell is difficult to describe precisely, but it resembles heated rubber, vinyl, petroleum products, or synthetic plastic. The odor becomes stronger as the dishwasher heats up and appears to be emitted from the lower vent area. The problem occurs even during normal operation without using the High Temp or Extra Dry settings. Over the past year I have tried numerous troubleshooting steps, including cleaning the filters repeatedly, running cycles without detergent, using dishwasher cleaning cycles, and removing additional plastic accessories from inside the machine. None of these actions resolved the issue. The dishes themselves do not retain the odor, but the heated air emitted by the dishwasher does. The smell is strong enough to travel beyond the kitchen and can sometimes be noticed on the second floor of the house. After more than a year of trying to live with this issue, I have stopped using the dishwasher altogether and returned to washing dishes by hand because I am not comfortable having my family continuously exposed to the odor. What concerns me most is that this odor appears whenever the appliance is heated, suggesting that materials inside the unit may be releasing volatile compounds into the air. I do not know whether LG has evaluated the long-term impact of breathing these emissions during routine daily use, but I believe this is a legitimate concern that deserves attention. I am disappointed because otherwise the dishwasher performs well. If LG is aware of this issue or has a solution, I would genuinely appreciate a response. I hope my review helps other consumers, especially those who are sensitive to chemical odors, make a more informed purchasing decision.
Seems like quality from LG has gone down. We got all new LG appliances and under a year they have all broken down. Warranty claim did repairs but issues still there. It's very unfortunate.
We're an LG family and we have been for years, after 4 remodels with four different home remodels this may be the last from dishwashers to double door refrigerators, washer and dryers, televisions … this dishwasher has had non stop issues from the get go, we've had the LG come out four times and it's still not working as it did. It sounds like a helicopter is taking off in our kitchen. I like the brand but I'm starting to think twice about a repurchase. I cannot whole heartedly recommend.
